Another delay?

$59.99 price for a game over a year old and just ported?

I think I'll wait for a sale with a significant markdown. I'd only pay $59.99 if it were released on PC simultaneously with the PS3/X360 release. Although I'd be a bit reluctant to pay that when new releases are typically $49.99, this should have been $40 since it's over a year old now. They're reaching a smaller audience now, there are not as many as they think that are going to re-buy on PS4, XBOne, PC. The PC port won't move that many sales and if they lower the price they'll get a lot more sales. Otherwise most will go pfft and wait for a sale. At least Capcom has the right idea porting their games and older titles, RE: Remake port here I come. It's funny cause Dead Rising 3 had a discount before it was released and I only paid $40 for it.

Sorry if yammering here, I'm groggy so I hope I've made sense.

Not sure where you've been but pretty much all AAA games now release at $59.99, pc included. That's not a new thing at all.

^ What happened to PC gaming being cheaper? PC gamers already pay out the behind for hardware that publishers/developers don't want to utilize adequately. We are talking about a port of a game over a year old now seeing yet another delay. Capcom is considered a major publisher aren't they? Dead Rising 3 was an AAA title wasn't it? I was able to purchase that at $40 because oddly it had a discount before it was released. I'm hoping R* grows a brain and slashes the price down to something sane like $40 or even $50 would be better. As it is a lot of fans lost respect for R* and are reluctant to purchase R* games digitally after what they pulled with removing content from GTA:SA retroactively regardless of purchase date. They would get more sales and money if they lower the price otherwise most will wait for a sale or it to hit bargain bin prices.

If they had ported the game over a year back with the PS3/Xbox 360 release charging $59.99 would've made more sense.

for petes sake.

i lost the will to care.

all this gta online and heists..         they should have worked more on PC single player, and released that.    then slowly roll out gta online for PC and then add heists when they are ready.

by focusing on the online stuff, then basically gave PC gamers the finger.    and to pc players who preordered they gave a giant ###### with a cherry on top.

if the single player was out for PC, everyone would not mind waiting for online features for a while longer. they will have something to do, and catch up to console players in their skills and experience.

everyone would be much happier on PC side, and they can take all the time they want to work on heists and other online stuff.

definately not supporting them with my money, even if it means, they will have even less interest in PC afterwards.    it is hard to care anymore....   even though GTA came from PCs/

Rockstar isn't going to cut the price on it just because it's been a year. Have to remember they never planned on making the game for current gen systems and PC. I got it for PS4 and never regretted or looked back, was well worth it imo.

Rockstar doesn't want my USD 60 for some reason.

They didn't? Wasn't there that whole thing where people found code for windows on the GTA discs around the time it first came out? Or is that a different game I'm thinking of?

Also every other GTA game has made it's way to pc so it stands to reason this one would too, eventually.

I question the intelligence of their tech support,

One of my cars vanished, and after submitting a ticket, and 4 days of back and forth banter about which car, I'm STILL being asked which car,

IT HAS BEEN MENTIONED IN THE TICKET HEADER AND MESSAGES OVER 10 TIMES NOW!

Still, least they said they would refund me the cost of a replacement vehicle and mods, so it's not a total loss.

sad that they are delaying it yet again, but i suppose its better than the mess that was the release of gta iv on pc which wasn't playable for months after release.

Game looks amazing. No sense in pretending we arent going to buy it the second its released, regardless of the delays.

OMG, I need share this

I was waiting for a couple of guys to get caught up on their heist prep.

They had to drill the safe, and the guy instructing was telling the driller to 'ease it in'

And to make matters worse, he kept saying stuff like, 'you need to take it slow' and 'if it's turning red, you need to pull it out a little'

And, he couldn't figure out why I was laughing so hard......

I absolutely ###### myself I was laughing so hard

You, sir, have a dirty, filthy, disgusting little mind!

Welcome to the club! ;)

Why?

It's been a year and a half.  The online wasn't that good (in my opinion) the heists were the only thing I kind of was looking forward to.  But I've moved on.  And naturally there are launch issues, so I can't even be bothered.

They're released now. I've done them all and were fun. 5 in total and hoping they bring us more soon. Are some parts you'll rage on also getting the same people will be difficult as well. The only enemy still is unknown connection error please return to grand theft auto v lol

I've bought the armored Kuruma, new dirt bike currently at 7.5m. Waiting to get to 12m to buy the lectro, hydra and savage. What system are you on?

    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
