Soon as you get the code let us know please. Waiting on them being available before I buy :D

No problem!! I bought it tonight, and received this email from cdkeys:

We anticipate being able to release keys for GTA 5 PC on or most likely before the 11th of April. We understand the game download is very large and we will do our best to ensure all pre-order customers have ample time to pre-load the game in time for the release date (14th of April).

They have started releasing them though already so check your emails regularly!! I was originally going to go via steam, but

12/07/2014 and recieved one Rockstar key which contained the game plus money bonus. :D

^- That's 12th of July for you Americans out there.

this corresponds to what I have seen elsewhere. They are doing it in order of who ordered it. :( damn lol

Shouldn't take them too long to work through the backlog, I think they are aiming to have it done by weekend. I'm just glad i finally have a key.

After seeing that image that Dotdot posted, I'm curious as to why Google Chromium is a required part of the installation.

I assume it just makes whatever your current browser is part of the installation.

Im using a Rockstar Social Club version, not Steam.

I have been trying since yesterday afternoon to download this via the R* client and it has been painful to say the least. Crap speeds(for the most part) and I have actually downloaded the full preload files three times as the client wont register that its completed the download.

This has been a widespread issue for a lot of people - its either:

  • Slow speeds - we are talking 25kbps here
  • Connection issues to the server - disconnecting etc
  • Download completing - then you go to open it to see the countdown timer and itresumes the download from half way
  • Resuming after reboot loses progress

So what I, and a few others are resorting to is using the CJS keys officlal preload torrent that R* released to them and will install the preload files that way. Downloading direct from rockstar isn't doing very well at the moment.

There better be some cheat/hack prevention in this game for that amount of $$. Max Payne 3 was pretty much ruined by cheaters... am not sure if R* has raised their game..

Rockstar already said there wouldn't be.... so get your rage face ready...

All they did was ask players not to use online mods.. lol like they will listen...

DLCompare shows RSC keys are cheaper than Steam keys but I want to earn Steam achievements, so I paid a bit more. Still much cheaper than the RRP you'll pay on Steam.

People who buy it on Steam are suckers. Must be the same people who'd buy a Dell monitor on Dell.com for RRP when they're all much cheaper on Amazon.

Well I guess this is a failure even prior to launch.

Max Payne 3 had one awesome multiplayer mode.. shame that it was butchered through the lack of support.

    • WTF! Nah, not this one. If you were back then using computers in the 90s or you had a clue, you'd know this was huge and was seen and overused absolutely everywhere and you'd take this article as no more than a retrospective story. That's all it is.
    • these "editors" get paid by the amount of articles and not the quality of content; hence why we get this random stuff from the same "editor" time and time again.
    • 256 times the quality of an audio cd? I think audio cd's sound good so even twice as good as that would be something.
    • It’s not about the NOx. It’s about the electrical field.
