"Powers" star Justice Leak will play a villainous alien called Hellgrammite in the upcoming premiere season of CBS' "Supergirl,"Entertainment Weekly reports.

Though he will be an alien in the show, Hellgrammite was entomologist Roderick Rose in the comics. After some experimentation, he developed super-strength, improved jumping and the ability to produce cocoons to imprison foes or even transform them into larvae versions of himself. The experimentation also gave him an insect-like appearance and his supervillain moniker comes from an insect of the same name.

It's a damn shame that this is separate from the CW verse (Flash and Arrow). I understand why they did it though. It'd be hard for different studios to coordinate especially in terms of the story. Anything major happening on one show would affect another and ignoring it would make things weird.

Maybe, but at the same time, they don't put these characters in different cities for no reason, lots of stuff could be going down in one city and you just have to mention it in passing on the other show, a small nod to it going on, and you're covered.  Not much work really.

She looks fine all over. I can't wait to see her on my screen every week :)

Exactly. She fits the part very well. Now if she were playing Power Girl, then there would be cause for complaint. She's pretty much the definition of "Boobs of Steel".

Iddo Goldberg Cast as Red Tornado

Iddo Goldberg (Salem, Peaky Blinders) has been cast for the role of “Dr. T.O. Morrow (aka Red Tornado)” on CBS's Supergirl, ComicBook.com has learned exclusively.

According to Warner Bros. Television, Red Tornado is the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate superweapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City -- including the people Supergirl cares about most.

In what way Goldberg will play both Morrow and the Red Tornado isn't clear. While the character has often been imbued with the personality of a human in the comics, Morrow isn't Red Tornado, just the android's inventor. He's also evil, while Red Tornado is a hero and longtime Justice League member. (Red Tornado also served as a mentor to Young Justice when that team first assembled under the pen of longtime Supergirl writer Peter David.)

Glenn Morshower Cast as General Sam Lane

Another member of the Lane family is coming to Supergirl.

The new CBS comic book series has just cast 24 alum Glenn Morshower as General Sam Lane, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Morshower, whose character is father to the famous Lois Lane as well Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan-Tatum), will recur throughout the season.

So does that mean there's a potential for Lois or Lucy to show up? Maybe Lois is investigating the new girl hero who is so similar to the Metropolis Marvel?

Hopefully the pilot doesn't do the rest of the series justice. God that was a boring thing to sit through.

Pilots often are the worst episode of a series. They have to set things up, so the story often suffers in the first episode or two.

Why did they leave her eyes as Green?

Because her heat vision would melt colored contact lenses.

But seriously, she nails the role and is a good match for the part.

In comparison: The X-Men franchise stars an actor almost a foot too tall to play the 5'1" tall Wolverine. Flash features an Iris West who is black (not her traditional skin color) but who nonetheless works perfectly in the role. And a Jay Garrick who is about 50 years too young. Dawn of Justice is going to have a Wonder Woman who barely looks the part. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a Nick Fury who is non-traditional, although there is a precedent for the portrayal in the Ultimate Marvel Universe.

I think Kara's eye color is a minor quibble compared to all that.

    • TeraCopy 4.0 Build 26 by Razvan Serea TeraCopy is a compact program designed to copy and move files at the maximum possible speed, also providing you with a lot of features. Copy files faster. TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce seek times. Asynchronous copy speeds up file transfer between two physical hard drives. Pause and resume transfers. Pause copy process at any time to free up system resources and continue with a single click. Error recovery. In case of copy error, TeraCopy will try several times and in the worse case just skips the file, not terminating the entire transfer. Interactive file list. TeraCopy shows failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only problem files. Shell integration. TeraCopy can completely replace Explorer copy and move functions, allowing you work with files as usual. TeraCopy is free for non-commercial use only. For commercial use you need to buy a license. The paid version of the program includes the following features: Copy/move to your favorite folders. Save reports as HTML and CSV files. Select files with the same extension/folder. Remove the selected files from the copy queue. TeraCopy 4.0 Build 26 changelog: Added support for receiving files via the LocalSend protocol. Improved exception handling and automated bug report upload. Fixed several minor bugs and small memory leaks. Build 26 (June 24) Fixed a rare exception when a transfer completed. Features added since version 3.17: Enhanced speed graph. New multi-threaded copy engine. Support for copying to multiple targets. Queue system for managing multiple copy operations. Support for receiving files via the LocalSend protocol. TeraCopy entry in the modern Windows Explorer context menu. Integrated toolbar in the title bar. Why receive LocalSend transfers with TeraCopy? Handle file conflicts: Skip, overwrite, or rename files when a file with the same name already exists. LocalSend always creates another copy, which can waste time and disk space, especially when resuming an interrupted transfer. Filter unwanted files: Apply ignore lists or remove files manually before accepting a transfer, so unnecessary files are not downloaded. Better performance on fast networks: In tests over a 10 Gbps connection, TeraCopy received files several times faster than the standard LocalSend app on Windows. • Age of Empires Mobile comes to PC, here's how to carry over progress from your phone by Ivan Jenic Image: YouTube/Microsoft Microsoft just released Age of Empires Mobile for PC. The game, officially called Age of Empires Mobile: PC Edition, is available for free on Steam and Microsoft Store, almost two years after its initial release for handheld devices. Age of Empires is one of those franchises that entire generations grew up with. The original came out in 1997, and immediately got people hooked to building civilizations and crushing their enemies on the battlefield. However, the franchise today is a far cry from its roots, as Age of Empires Mobile is, well, a game optimized for handheld devices, and not a classic RTS title we’ve all loved for years. And, of course, it includes in-game purchases. The PC version is still a mobile game at its core, but it’s been optimized for desktop play. There’s mouse control, full keyboard compatibility, and a refined UI. Microsoft also refreshed the visuals with some 4k textures, so the game should look better on larger screens. The game supports Crossplay, so you can switch between your phone, tablet, and PC without losing anything. But linked progress doesn’t come out of the box, as you have to enable it first. Here’s how to link your progress: On your mobile device, open Age of Empires Mobile. Go to Settings (Gear icon) > Account. Select Bind Account and choose a sign-in option. Once you enable account binding, sign in on PC using the same method, and your progress will be accessible across all your devices. Xbox Game Pass subscribers also get a bonus reward pack on PC, which includes: 1 Monthly Pass Token 1 Custom Resource Chest 10 Universal 60-Minute Speed-Ups 1,000 Empire Coins Exclusive Player Portrait Frame You can find more info about Age of Empires Mobile: PC Edition, as well as download links, on the Age of Empires official website.
