Whether you’re upgrading to the newest consoles or joining the Xbox family for the first time, Xbox All Access is the easiest way to get the best of Xbox. Xbox All Access provides an Xbox Series X, or Series S, along with 24 months of the full Xbox Game Pass Ultimate experience. In total, that means you get access to:

  • The next-generation Xbox console of your choice
  • Over 100 high-quality games to play on console, including next-gen Optimized games
  • Over 100 high-quality games to play on PC
  • An EA Play membership to play more than 60 of EA’s biggest and best console and PC games
  • And over 100 games to play from the cloud

That’s all with no upfront costs and a low monthly price. Xbox Series S will be available starting from $24.99 a month for 24 months and Xbox Series X will be available starting from $34.99 a month for 24 months.

So both plans offer a slight discount (we're talking something like £20-40) if you planned to retain the Game Pass Ultimate Sub running for two years. I definitely think I'll be heading down this route, feels like a pretty simple and obvious choice to me.

It's a shame that the savings aren't as much. For Series X, it's about £17.

My GPU still runs until Jan 2021 so will probably just end up ordering the console on its own and buy GPU when I need it.

I would have assumed it would just extend your current GPU sub for a few months but fair enough.

Reading through the detail, it sounds like you get a code for GPU, so you can redeem it whenever. I think MS limit it to three years at most, so you'll need to have 12 months or less GPU.

If you just have Gold or Game Pass, it'll convert to GPU using some black magic....

This bit here is big news for GPU.

I think this is one of those things that sounds better than it actually is. EA Access or now EA Play has never really interested me so it's not something I see myself actually using all that much, however, it is still good news.

Also don't confuse this with EA Play Pro (I only just learnt that was a thing today anyway) that gives you access to the latest games - this will be the older titles, 10 hour trials and discounted EA games only.

So, specs are out, CPU same, I/O same though SSD is half the size.  RAM is a little less at 10GB but since you're not targeting 4k you don't need as much RAM as the Series X does.    Very solid system for 1080p and 1440p gamers out there.

True, but with how often they release their sports titles, heck having access to last years isn't that bad IMO.    Plus it's just very good PR/marketing in the end.

Glad to see the spec differences confirmed, if you're not someone who needs the biggest and best the Series S is a really really attractive option.

oh it's still great value to be added, but I think this more about the PR impact, it looks better then it probably is.

Probably just me, but without a new Halo I'm not feeling a need to buy this.

That's fine if that's what you're looking forward to, I think there's a number of games coming besides Halo to play.  And the whole Game Pass bit is worth it overall.    I'm going to get the X at some point, probably not on day 1 but a bit later, game pass ultimate then has me covered for quite some time as far as what to play.

Size comparisons going on, pretty small, solid design IMO.  I'm indifferent to the black color vent, it is what it is.

Holy crap, I had no idea how tiny it would be. May pick this one up as something to have the in the office when it goes on sale or gets some good bundles.

People want to criticize the size of the Xbox from time to time but somehow give the PS a pass.  The PS4 and PS4 Pro aren't exactly on the small side.  And god does the PS5 look huge as well.

I'll probably buy it day one because I'm a sucker who needs the new and shiny.

I think for me I don't really care about the new games, I'm more looking forward to the stuff I'm currently playing, running better. Load times in games like No mans sky are horrendous so if the promo videos are anywhere near true that alone will be worth it for me

Coming from a One S. I cannot wait to fire up No Man's Sky and play in 4K HDR

    • What? They aren't removing the disc drive and charging $800 for questionable performance upgrades that are better suited to a new generation console? How outrageous!
    • Bummer it's only 1TB instead of 2. I had one of those - the "Halo Special Edition" OG Xbox. This looks like a cool update.
    • KillerPDF 1.4.3 is out.
    • Google's NotebookLM gets some useful features you may have been waiting for by Aditya Tiwari It's been three years since Google introduced its AI-powered note-taking and research app, NotebookLM. Just when Apple is about to kick off WWDC 2026, the search giant has announced a platter of new NotebookLM features that add agentic capabilities in chat and more advanced reasoning. For starters, NotebookLM now draws its fuel from Gemini 3.5 and Antigravity to improve accuracy and reliability. One of the things people have been asking for a long time is more transparency into the thinking steps. NotebookLM now shows expanded thinking steps in chat, providing better visibility into the thinking process. Google compared the upgraded NotebookLM with prior versions and found that it "achieved an average win rate of over 65% — a 15% point margin above parity — across our top five core evaluation dimensions," including accuracy & quality, multilingual support, large document analysis, document creation, and advanced research. It showed substantial improvements in analyzing large documents, achieving a 69.9% win rate. The system also delivered "exceptional performance" in advanced web research and source discovery with a 78.2% win rate. The AI research tool now generates outputs in more formats. You can give instructions to guide the outputs and download the generated files from the studio panel. Here are the newly supported formats: PNG and SVG for data visualizations and charts PDFs, docx, markdown, and text files for documents PNG, JPG, and GIF for images JSON and CSV for structured data XLSX for Microsoft Excel PPTX for Microsoft PowerPoint You can make edits after the outputs are generated. The feature is available globally; therefore, you can provide directions in one language and create outputs in another. Google said that it's also making it easier to get started with a project in NotebookLM. Instead of having a list of sources beforehand, you can even start with loose ideas, and NotebookLM can help build the repository of sources through the chat. For instance, you can find primary sources in other languages to get new perspectives or explore related works of an author. All of these new features are rolling out globally for those who can loosen up their pockets. They are available to users with Google AI Ultra and all Workspace business customers with AI Ultra access. Google has plans to expand them to more users in the future.
