Totally from a CPU point of view - would an Athlon 64 2800 be able to handle this? Or would it still be CPU constrained?

(yes, I know lots of docs statements have been made about CPU recommendations, but I have only seen 32-bit XP/P4 suggestions so far... just wondering how the Athlon 64 series will do)

XP3000 and BBATI 9700 Pro, runs smooth single player 1024 rez,

just need to solve the problem with the video card causing game to either lock or VPU Recover to come on and screw with the game and its textures.

reinstalling Cat 4.7's as during D3 install i opted to reinstall DirectX9b and thinking it did something to the cat's

    • They are neither of those things They cause virtually zero issues to end users as when leveraged correctly they are invisible. They aren't 'DRM', because, they're nothing to do with DigitalRightsManagement Some Anti-Cheat services I did see are starting to *use* the TPM to store creds/tokens, which it's for, but it's not involved beyond that. I would suggest doing some reading, both articles are fairly lengthy, but for MS Learn they're actually pretty decent at explaining the concepts.
