dividebyzero, thanks for taking a look at those cmd files. However, when I use them now, the PL and ML buttons/scrollbars do not change style. I'd love to use relative filepaths, but I could never get them to work. Are you sure it is working for you and that the buttons/scrollbars change style?

I will include the black/white shadows in the next version. However, I will also make an option to turn them off, since sometimes they look good and sometimes they don't IMO.

Ok, I've installed it again and now the buttons are in the correct colours... probably something went wrong in the first installation...

Anyway, the font isn't very clear... take a look:

I't not due to jpg compression... I'ts just how it looks on my pc.

Dunno if I set something wrong in the preferences... could you please tell me if it's normal?

Hey, no sweat! I dont really use the Media library, so I cant help you there. But the playlist window still works as normal, just tested it now. Sorry, I'm stumped :(

When using the clear background I get random freezes and slowdown... This only happens when the clear background is used, when the mouse if over the ML or PL... No problems if either of these two windows are opened. Used to do that in the BETA version as well.

But hey, nice theme! Right now I'm using glass and happy with it... (With a custom color theme to fit the VistaXP Visual Style)

Lovin this skin!

Only one bug I've seen so far, and that's with the playlist. When I expand/maximize the playlist, the bottom drops down (which is good), but when I collapse/minimize it, the top drops (where I believe the bottom should raise to the top, and the top border should remain constant).

I usually run it with an expanded playlist, and just turn it off via the PL button when I don't need it, since the main bar is stretched enough to see the track title.

Thanks again!

Nice work FineWolf. That font looks really good too. Is it Lucinda Sans? I've never had any random freezes with any of the styles, so is this happening to anyone else?

DMP, double-click the top of the PL for normal shade mode collapse/expand. Clicking the button on the right performs the opposite behavior.

It freezes, but comes back after 30 seconds or so...

As for the font: Segoe UI Bold

ok i cant get this to work with the clear background im following your instructions but i dun understand them completly

do i rename

ClearOne_solidelements" value="C:/Program Files/Winamp/Skins/clearONE/style-solid.cmd" />

to ClearOne_solidelements" value="C:/Program Files/Winamp/Skins/" />

and for the editing of the CMD

do i

just remove the \clearONE\elements\window\clear-elements.png and clearONE\elements\window\elements.png from the below line..

copy C:\Progra~1\Winamp\Skins\clearONE\elements\window\clear-elements.png C:\Progra~1\Winamp\Skins\clearONE\elements\window\elements.png

Please elaborate im confusued

One more problem for me:

I don't know y but I can't see the album covers with the "cover art" option checked. When I check the option in the context menu in winamp the first time it loads I instantly see the cover art window but it dissapears. No matter how many times I try to tick/untick the option after the first boot of winamp, nothing seems to change. Also I do not get any picture in the notifier, with the "show album art" in notifier options turned on.

Album art is embended in my mp3s with "Tag & Reaname 3", the covers do appear nicely with WMP10 and with Winamp5 on my desktop (using Samurize).

Two little problem here.

One I think it's very stupid, anyway... the main window is somehow locked and I can't move it, while the playlist and the media library are movable... how do I remove this damn locking function?

I know it's not relative to C1...

The second one, how do I set the main window to show this?

I mean the yellow "meter" on each side of the title (how do you call it? Sorry for my poor english...).

How did you set the style/color theme to have it like this?

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
