IE 7 Beta RELEASED!

IE 7 is uninstalled. IE 6.0 SP2 appears to be working with no issues.

And no I won't stop complaining about the UI. It sucks. Plain and simple. When it takes me a couple of minutes to figure out how to find something...it is poorly designed. Simple as that.

You shouldn't have to readd it. It should be there by default.

Why don't you complain to someone who cares, say Microsoft perhaps? There IS a way to send feedback to them, I suggest you do so.

I agree to disgree. I do not need it, but many users do. I expect it to be enabled by default in the final release; keep in mind this is still a Beta - work in progress.

Well personally I like it better without it, but some un-tech savvy people need it. Most of the functions are in the Tools button anyway.

It's about time people learn to re-adapt to a different GUI. People always whine about lack of innovation. Here it is, get used to it.

Firefox still works, loads and navigates faster than IE7 Beta. Though when it comes to usability, it looks like both are on the same page now. Good work Microsoft. Looks like IE7 will start taking back some of the terrain it has been loosing for years now.

is there no way to get rid of the giant backward/forward icons or remove the whole row of icons on bottom? I can't get rid of the favorites add/subscribe icons. Also, I can't even move the toolbars.

It is quite good and stable, firefox seems quite a bit faster that ie7 but its still beta so far so good.

hmm everytime i click a link it seems to want me to connect to the internet even though im already connected :s and i dont really see any point installing this if it doesnt support live mail thats kinda dumb.

I can say this thing is a million times more stable than 5299 and I don't care if it's a step below it. I know 5299 was never meant to be leaked and I'm glad they released this preview cuz I was dying. The only thing now is my Links don't work anymore :( lol.

Does anyone else notice how it lags when you open a new tab? Not lag, per say, but it sort of pauses for a split second and doesn't let you scroll or type within that time.

When I attempt to add a favorite I get a class not registered. I guess by uninstalling the old version and reinstalling this one I some how managed to unregister a file. Any idea which file this may be?

IE 7 Beta 2 has finally brought me back to the IE flock. This is a much improved version over the first beta.

Quite frankly I'm afraid of this Internet Explorer 7 Beta. It just looks so ugly! I hate the interface. Microsoft could have done a way better job at it, or at least have left it the same just with new features. I'll pass on this beta from Microsoft.

Oh sorry :blush: Hit those double arrows and go to Tools - Toolbars - Customize, and you can deleate all of those little icons. Still haven't figured out the Favorites on the left though, sorry.

I don't know about you guys, but whoever designed the UI should be shot.

1) No menu bar? That is going to confuse everyone. Not everyone knows that ctrl-c is copy for example. Not everyone is going to know how to turn it on.

2) Buttons scattered all over the place...no consistancy at all, requiring lots of mouse movement and guess work in order to find which button to use

Still trying it out, but the UI is very unimpressive.
