Ji@nBing
BachDGP v1.0, a video encoding app for use with Moonshell has been released. This in combination with Moonshell is a must have app for those interested in watching movies on the DS. Bei337
Anybody else besides JianBing uses Moonshell? I need some help, and JianBing is not on atm :p It would be perfect if u could contact me on AIM or MSN, thanks! Bei337
I just tried this MSN thing on my DS, and I'm totally blown away.... It uses WiFi to connect to MSN server, and u can see ur whole contact list, buddy icons, and even sounds! U can type and draw with ur touchscreen. Only down side is that u have to take the security on the wireless router away. Here's a pic of me and my buddy talking on it: Get it here: http://forum.gbadev.org/viewtopic.php?t=10060 Now does anybody know if AIM can be on DS too? The maker of DSOrganize expects to have AIM built into it in the next release. As far as beup, yeah, it's awesome. Someone has released a nice custom skin for it. You can get it here. Ji@nBing
First post updated to include my LE5 Moonshell skin and compile, for those of you who just want to give Moonshell a go without the trouble of compiling it. Just send the .nds file to your cart and run it. Everything is pre-set up. Oh, and here's the pic of the old SC MiniSD box I promised for SlightDust. It's taken with my crappy phone cam, but you can still see the new one is much nicer ;) Edited July 15, 2006 by Ji@nBing Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/451078-the-official-nds-homebrew-thread/page/10/#findComment-587702330 Share on other sites

Ji@nBing
DS Lite has speakers, mic, and WiFi...VoIP phone anybody? The homebrew Wifi libs currently aren't stable enough for that. Hopefully at some point though. That would be awesome. sanghoku
i'm having trouble with this beup thing... i have wep on the router and after trying to get dhcp info it says it can't connect or something, so i disabled router security but it still doesn't work... the same thing sorta happens with dsorganize's homebrew DB... it seems like i'm stuck with being disconnected on homebrew... games however runs fine online... just finished a mariokart race :) and on another note: how can i transfer the savegames from my 'real' ds games to the supercard so i can continue where i left off? Bei337
I have this problem too and would love to know how to get it working. It's because ur default WiFi setting still uses the WEP. Use a game that supports WiFi play (Metroid Hunters, Mario Kart) and go to WiFi setting, make sure the 1st connection is refreshed without the WEP settings. U could just erase the first setting, and let it search for access point, etc. Then try beup again, it should work. Hope that helps. Ji@nBing
Yep. Also make sure network authentication is set to open in your router. The next version of the Wifi libs should have better WEP support. Iguanadon
You need to google Rein r15. That should help with learning how to back up your savegames. sanghoku
Rein worked like a charm... at first i was getting errors when trying to copy the save, but then i noticed my minisd was full... 1 gig really is too small... why are nds games so big? :p what are the side effects of the compress feature on the supercard converter? does it compress the nds files to zip-size? slowdowns? saves? loading times? oh, jianbing: how's the zelda saving thing coming along? :p Edited July 15, 2006 by sanghoku Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/451078-the-official-nds-homebrew-thread/page/10/#findComment-587704602 Share on other sites
