The Official NDS Homebrew Thread

Anyone know if there is a working version of Beup out there right now, preferably for the Supercard.

I miss it, I used to love just sitting in the longue with my ds rather than having a hot laptop on my lap :(

Just a newbie question..i'm thinking of getting a R4DS for my DS lite, will it do anything bad to my ds?like hang or corrupt the whole hardware or freeze the ds?

Yes, after prolonged use, it will cause your DS lite to freeze up while it calculates trajectories for a thermonuclear strike on China. </sarcasm>

No, it won't do anything to your system, other than allow you to use homebrew, play roms, watch movies and listen to music.

Head on over to gbatemp and have a look in their R4 forums. There is a program there that can patch the M3DS Simply/R4 firmwares to run on either cart and in any language.

Hey guys, looking for a little help deciding which flashcart to buy.

I would like to be able to play backups, use homebrew, see pictures and movies, and run my old GBA games.

Which one of the following would best suit my needs ?

I have a DS Lite by the way.

Thx.

Top one, but get the slightly more expensive bundle that comes with a JAPANESE Card.

I am pretty new to NDS. I have been playing my GBA games on my PSP for a long time, it works pretty good since I don't have my GBA anymore but I still have my games. I was able to back up those and play on my PSP. Anyway, I am not sure how it works on NDS.

I wanna be able to play my backup games on my NDS. I don't care much about homebrew, but it would be nice to have.

I would like to be able play over WiFi and be able to save my games as well. What card/package do I need for this?

I already have 1GB MiniSD card from my phone, and Reader, what do I need?

Thank You!

bfoos, I mentioned that I wanna be able to play my backup games on my NDS. Forget GBA. I am already playing GBA games on my PSP.

What is the single package I need to buy that will enable playing NDS backup games on my NDS, with wifi and save games functional.

Thank You.

^ Some more information would be helpful...

I use Superkey and Supercard DS Lite with a micro sd card

at first i was just putting the roms straight onto the sd cards and the screen was just going white, then i was told i needed to convert them first, i am using a program called supercard micosd.. now when i try i get the 'Loading...' screen for a few seconds then it just goes white again.

Any ideas?

^ First of all, roms are illegal, unless they are your own backups. So please stop discussing them here, as it will get this thread closed.

On topic, if you want to play backups, you need to either patch them, since I dont believe the supercard has a direct "drag and drop functionality.

I suggest you try one of the sites on the first page of this thread. Gbatemp, is a good site for homebrew support...

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Steam Next Fest returns with thousands of new demos to try out by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Valve has been routinely kicking off demo festivals on Steam for years now, and the second drop of 2026 has just opened its doors. It's a great opportunity for any PC gamers to find some interesting games before they release. The June edition of Steam Next Fest is a week-long digital festival including gameplay slices from a large number of indie developers, though a few major publishers are involved this time too. Interested players can use the Next Fest hub page's various sorting and filtering options to easily sort through the hordes of demos available. The top buttons offer quick access to separate and important sorting options, including "By Genre, By Theme, By Feature," with each one offering more granular settings when clicked. At the same time, the built-in Steam tags system is also available below every page to discover new games more quickly. As always, logging in will also enable Steam gamers to utilize Valve's recommendation algorithms to find game demos they might like, specifically, depending on their past play and purchase histories. This time there is even a toggle now to swap between getting a random and personalized selection as Valve collects more data on the available demos. The Charts section is where you can find the most popular demos on the platform right now, offering up the most hyped titles in a simple list. Right at the kickoff, Mistfall Hunter, Empulse, Echoes of Aincrad, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Over the Hill, Mortal Shell II, and more are trending. Expect this list to change as the week progresses. This edition of the Steam Next Fest is slated to end on June 22 at 10 AM PT. Valve's latest event is now open, and it can be accessed by going to the dedicated hub page here.
    • I lived and breathed MSN Messenger/Windows Live Messenger. Going to the mess.be website (still online with no changes since 2013) to download display pictures etc. I was a beta tester for Messenger Plus! and spent quite a lot of time on the MsgPlus! forums (a read-only copy is still online at https://shoutbox.menthix.net) Some old Neowin articles also https://www.neowin.net/news/messenger-plus-350/ good times but how time flies
    • Well i'll look into a docking station if needed and use that.    Normally i don't usually have all the drives connected at once,  usually once a month to sync the latest files, and then they go back in there storage area
