With the iPhone OS 3.0 announcement engadget seemed faster and had more pictures

I hope the update works, because I couldn't get any of the betas to work on my phone. And yes, I am a part of the developers program. It would stop half way through the update with iTunes throwing me "error (10)", cannot update crap and I need to reinstall the previous version.

I'm assuming you were/are using the latest itunes as well?

I think that Steve will definitely make an appearance for a short segment of the show.

I might just skip the live shows, and watch the keynote video tonight.

I didn't even use iTunes to update each new beta until the most recent (with beta iTunes), I used Xcode and mounted the iPhone update image, was very easy to do. Sorry to hear you were unable to get it to work.

Used the 8.2 beta at the time and the older version of itunes as well.

My guess is you're using a PC then? My fault, I for some reason thought you were using a Mac and recommended Xcode, my apologies.

Nice spot for the new QuickTime X logo btw, I hope to see a small 30 seconds demo in this whole hour. It's probably one of the weaknesses of OS X at the moment, now let's make it a strength... And good spot for June 19th... I hope it's Snow Leopard and not the iPhone in some way, because I STILL won't be able to buy an iPhone this year! Not because of the price of the device, it's really cheap IMO, but because of the contract!

Wasn't the other 2 iphones released on a Friday? With that in mind, June 19th is probably the release date of the new iPhone?
