2010 Summer Football Transfers

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes Manchester United may have already struck a deal for Joe Cole.

The 28-year-old will not have his Chelsea contract renewed this summer and a number of clubs have been chasing his signature.

Redknapp has confirmed that he would love to see the midfielder move to Spurs, while Arsenal and United are also thought to be trailing the England international.

But while Redknapp wants Cole at White Hart Lane, he thinks the Red Devils may have already won the race to sign him.

"I've got a feeling that it might have been done (for Cole to join United)," he said.

"It wouldn't surprise me in the least. Joe's not wanted to speak to anybody and his people have been saying 'let's get the World Cup out of the way first'.

"But we'd be interested for sure. I like Joe."

Cole has been the subject of much debate in recent days as he has yet to make an appearance for England in this summer's World Cup.

Former Three Lions captain John Terry questioned why Cole was not in the team in a press conference at the weekend, and has since apologised to manager Fabio Capello.

Marseille are set to seal a transfer coup by signing Spanish starlet Cesar Azpilicueta. - a really good defender....quite a shock transfer!

The Osasuna full-back has been tracked by Europe's elite, including Primera Liga titans Barcelona and Real Madrid.

In England, Premier League rivals Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are all understood to have kept close checks on him.

However, the French champions have moved to agree a deal with Osasuna worth ?7million and the player looks set to sign a four-year deal at the Stade Velodrome.

"It was a Didier Deschamps wish," Marseille general manager Antoine Veyrat confirmed to L'Equipe.

"But of course he has been overseen several times by our scouts."

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed that as part of France's Euro 2016 scheme, the Stade Velodrome will have a roof built on it, whilst also seeing its capacity increase to 67,000.

Bulgaria winger Martin Petrov has agreed to join Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City.

The 31-year-old was released from City this summer after his contract at Eastlands expired, with manager Roberto Mancini deciding not to renew terms.

Petrov's signing will be seen as something of a coup for the Trotters in capturing a player with proven ability and who impressed in his early days in the Premier League after joining from Atletico Madrid.

He becomes Bolton boss Owen Coyle's first full signing of the summer at the Reebok Stadium, with the former Burnley managed expected to make more additions in the coming months.

Petrov initially enjoyed a successful stint in then-manager Sven Goran Eriksson's City team, however once the Swede departed and the big-money takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group took place, the midfielder saw his chances become more limited by new players and a succession of injuries.

Overall he made 66 appearances for City, scoring 12 goals, some of which were outstanding strikes with his powerful left foot and he has also won 77 caps for his country.

He joins Bolton on 1st July under the Bosman ruling and he had also been linked with a move to Aston Villa.

Interesting, I say joe cole should come to Aston Villa.

If anything, he should come back to West Ham

agreed :shifty:

Manchester City have been given permission to hold talks with Valencia winger David Silva over a move to the Premier League.

Cash-strapped Valencia have already been forced to sell David Villa to Barcelona this summer and now look poised to offload Silva.

The 24-year-old, who is currently with the Spain squad at the World Cup finals, has repeatedly been linked with a switch to England, with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United mooted as admirers.

Champions Chelsea are also rumoured to be fans of Silva, with the attacking midfielder recently admitting he would be open to a move to Stamford Bridge.

However, it now appears City have stepped up the hunt for Silva after being given the go-head to discuss a deal with the player.

Valencia confirmed Roberto Mancini's side have been allowed to meet with Silva, but stated no agreement has been reached regarding a price.

"As has been said, there is interest from Manchester City and we have permitted them to talk to the player, but we have reached no agreement and we have not talked about a fee," said Valencia's deputy chairman Javier Gomez.

Juan Manuel Mata has also been linked with a move away from the Mestalla, with reports claiming he would join Villa at Barcelona.

Gomez, though, has rejected that piece of speculation and has told reporters that no negotiations are taking place regarding a deal for Mata.

David Silva will probably be the new Ribery,I'm sick of reading how he's coming to Chelsea or flying to one of the Manchester clubs.

at least its better then hearing about Fabregas :p

Spanish paper Marca web are stating that Valencia & Barcelona have a deal on the transfer of Mata to the Catalans for 20M?.

Nice replacement for Titi, even if i'd prefered Silva...

Oh no, more to Barcelona? They really are killing La Liga competition.

Why Schwarzer? We need someone younger than freaking 37..

Reports in Spain suggest Manchester City are close to reaching an agreement for Valencia winger David Silva.

The Blues have been strongly linked with the Spain international for some time and are believed to be edging closer to striking a deal.

The tricky winger is currently away on international duty with Spain at the World Cup finals, but is well aware of the furore surrounding his future.

With his domestic employers known to be struggling financially, Silva has accepted that the time may have come to move on from the Mestalla.

That has alerted numerous clubs to his availability and, with money no problem, City have leapt to the front of the queue.

Talks

The Blues' chief executive Garry Cook is reported to have travelled to Spain for talks with Valencia president Manuel Llorente on Monday, in an effort to thrash out a deal.

It is believed that City are looking to use Roque Santa Cruz as a makeweight in the transfer, with the Paraguayan striker having slipped down the pecking order at Eastlands.

Valencia are thought to be keen on the idea, having been left short on attacking options after selling David Villa to Barcelona and Nikola Zigic to Birmingham.

They are willing to take the South American on loan, with the view to a permanent deal being struck next summer.

Los Che are also keen for City to help carry the financial burden of such a deal and are looking for them to continue paying around 20 per cent of Santa Cruz's wages.

Yaya Toure's agent has revealed he expects the midfielder to seal a switch to Manchester City in the next few days.

The 27-year-old Barcelona man has been involved in a long transfer saga so far this summer but negotiations are expected to be completed by the end of the week.

Toure, an Ivory Coast international, is set to link up with his brother Kolo at Eastlands, following three years at Camp Nou.

The move was delayed as he was competing with the Ivory Coast in the World Cup, but following the Elephants' exit in the group stage, he is now free to sort out his domestic future.

Agent Dimitri Seluk told Sport: "I think we will have a solution this week. In fact, I would say that (it will be done) on the first or second of July - maybe on the second because the first will be a very busy day at Barca with the change of president."

Seluk revealed he will speak to new Barca president Sandro Rosell, but insists Toure has his heart set on a move to the Premier League club.

"Yes, we have to talk, but of course, the reality is not going to change in one moment," he added.

"Yaya wants to play the important games and he knows that he will be an important player at Manchester City.

"It is not a money problem, as I have said 1,000 times, but a problem of (the lack of) confidence (that Barca have in him)."

Real Madrid have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Benfica over the transfer of Argentina winger Angel di Maria.

His switch to the Bernabeu, on a six-year deal, is reported to be worth 25 million euros (?20.3m).

The 22-year-old is currently part of his country's squad at the World Cup finals but was substituted in Sunday's 3-1 win over Mexico.

He moved to Portugal from Argentinian side Rosario Central in summer 2007.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claims Tottenham have made a double bid for Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani.

A host of clubs have been linked with the highly-rated pair with Palermo resigned to losing the star duo this summer.

The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Inter Milan have been credited with an interest in Danish international Kjaer, while City and Wolfsburg are thought to be keen on Cavani.

However, Tottenham are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by making a double bid for both players.

Zamparini claims Spurs have tabled a bid of ?35million (?28million) for Kjaer and Cavani and that the offer was too good to turn down.

"Tottenham have bid ?35m, an offer we cannot refuse, seeing as the two players have both said they want to leave," Zamparini told Sky Italia television.

"We will reinvest the money for these players," assured Zamparini. "The midfield is my biggest concern, whereas in defence and attack we are fairly covered."

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen to bolster his squad as he prepares for the Champions League next season and landing Kjaer and Cavani would be a major coup for the White Hart Lane outfit.

Sol Campbell has travelled to Celtic's training ground to hold talks over a proposed summer switch to the Scottish club.

The veteran defender spent the second half of last season at Arsenal during his second spell at the club, but the short-term deal expired in the summer.

It means the 35-year-old is now a free agent and can join another club, with the Bhoys and Premier League side Newcastle both believed to be interested.

The former England international looks to be edging towards a switch to Neil Lennon's side, who finished last season trophyless and in the wake of Old Firm rivals Rangers.

Campbell feels he still has plenty to offer at the highest level and was looking to extend his second stint at Emirates Stadium.

However, no deal was put on the table at the end of the season, and a move north of the border looks a strong possibility as Campbell and Celtic began face-to-face negotiations on Tuesday.

Barcelona have released Toure and Henry,I'm sure one of them is already on his way to relink with his brother.

technically they haven't released more allowed to go...Toure being released would be insane seeing as Man City were offering ?28m for him :p

Manchester United have reportedly beaten off competition from Italy to sign Greek youngster Sotiris Ninis.

The Panathinaikos starlet has been courted by some of the top clubs in Serie 'A', but United are thought to have won the race for the starlet with a ?9.6 million move.

Attacking midfielder Ninis has a growing reputation after a fantastic start to his career in the Greek Super League. A product of Trifylli's youth system, the playmaker made his debut as teenager in 2006.

The 20-year-old took his first team opportunities this season, and helped his side to the title for the first time in six years.

International recognition has followed for Ninis, who made his debut for the Greek U21 side in 2007. The following year, senior honours were granted and the midfielder has played six times for Greece already this season. He scored his only goal for the country against Cyprus.

Roma, Inter, AC Milan and Arsenal have all previously been linked with Ninis, but Forza Roma reports that Sir Alex Ferguson has won the race for one of Europe's hottest properties.

The Red Devils have already confirmed the signing of Mexican starlet Javier Hernandez, and the addition of Ninis would confirm that the club are looking at long-term replacements for veterans like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.

It now looks like the same product, not a separate dashboard. Pairing is one tap and zero typing: the generated WebUI password is now copyable, and the QR code carries the credentials — scanning it from your phone logs straight in (no typing the IP or password), then drops the credentials from the address bar. Search Two new providers: RuTor (CIS sources, no login, via a public TorAPI relay) and Torrents-CSV. Results are sorted by seeders (healthiest first), and each search now times out after 15 s so one dead provider can't hang the UI. Files & trackers Per-file priority is back: right-click a file in the detail panel to set Skip / Low / Normal / High. Rename an individual file inside a torrent (double-click or the file menu), separate from renaming the torrent. Remove a tracker from a torrent (the ✕ on a tracker row); adding was already there. Smart Paste on Ctrl+V — paste a magnet, a 40-char info-hash, or a .torrent URL straight from the clipboard and it's added immediately (text fields still paste text normally). Covers & titles Anime fansub naming ([Group] Title - NN) now resolves to the right show. Audio channel layouts in titles (DDP5.1, 7.1, …) are stripped so they don't pollute cover matching. Under the hood The legacy QWidget interface is gone. QML had been the only UI since 3.0.0 (reachable old code lived behind a hidden --legacy flag); with parity confirmed, the entire QWidget layer — main window, every dialog, the theme manager — was removed (~13,400 lines). The four restored actions above were features that backend already supported but the QML port had never wired. macOS: the WebUI password hash moved out of the keychain into app settings, so launching the app no longer pops a login-keychain password prompt on unsigned builds. The actual password still lives in the keychain. Cleanup: ~400 orphaned translation strings and a batch of dead code removed; internal duplication collapsed; an ARCHITECTURE.md added for contributors. Unit / security / memory tests and the ASan/UBSan/TSan sanitizers stay green.
