EA had a record-breaking beta last weekend as millions of players jumped into Battlefield 6 for the few days it was open for all. Now, Battlefield Studios is almost ready to open the beta doors again, and now it has detailed what players can expect to be new when they join in tomorrow.
On the content front, the second weekend of the Battlefield 6 Open Beta is bringing in Empire State as a brand-new map. This infantry-only area has players fighting across the streets, alleyways, and rooftops of Brooklyn, New York. The fan-favorite Rush mode is also an addition, offering the iconic Arm and Defuse gameplay involving multiple sectors of maps. Squad Deathmatch will be a new game mode here too.
Moreover, playlists are being adjusted. The second weekend will carry a new 'All-Out Warfare' option that offers Breakthrough, Conquest, and Rush, alongside other combo playlists, letting players queue into multiple game modes at once.
"Rotating through multiple modes within playlists helps us understand what our community enjoys as we shape the launch experience, and enables us to keep more fan-favorite modes available at the same time," explains the developer in a blog post.
To put everything into perspective, here are the playlists that will be active during the second beta weekend:
Day 1, Thursday 14th
- Conquest
- Rush
- Attack & Defend (Breakthrough, Rush)
- Close Quarters: Fast-paced playlist on smaller maps (Domination, King of the Hill)
- Closed Weapons All-Out Warfare (Conquest, Breakthrough)
Day 2, Friday 15th
- Conquest
- Squad Deathmatch
- Close Quarters: Fast-paced playlist on smaller maps (Domination, King of the Hill, Squad Deathmatch)
- All-Out Warfare: Epic battles across expansive maps (Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush)
- Closed Weapons All-Out Warfare (Conquest, Breakthrough)
Day 3-4, Saturday 16th - Sunday 17th
- Conquest
- Close Quarters: Fast-paced playlist on smaller maps (Domination, King of the Hill, Squad Deathmatch).
- All-Out Warfare: Epic battles across expansive maps (Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush)
- Closed Weapons All-Out Warfare (Conquest, Breakthrough)

For those wanting a little more control over their playlists, the developer is also implementing a new Custom Search option. When using it, players can select exactly what modes and maps they want to play, and matchmaking will prioritize that combo over others. Unfortunately for classic Battlefield fans, the studio added that, "note that this is not a Server Browser, which is not being tested this week."
New players shouldn't forget to check out the beta system requirements as well.
Battlefield 6 releases on October 10 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The PC version will be available across Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store.
