Insomniac Games has revealed the next major downloadable expansion for its Xbox One exclusive "Sunset Overdrive," bringing an entirely new area to the game as well as new missions, weapons and a special traversal mechanic.
"Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines," a clear play on lengthy movie titles (such as "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and "Rise of the Planet of the Apes"), will pit gamers against robot enemies from Fizzco as they try to save scientists. While the expansion starts out as a rescue mission, it quickly becomes an all-out offensive, according to a video released by Insomniac.
Additional missions, challenges and side quests will be included in the downloadable content, which is set in the Fizzco robotics factory. The DLC seems comparable in size to the game's last expansion, the "Mystery of the Mooil Rig," which also included an entirely new area and a new storyline.
While a price wasn't announced, the "Mystery of the Mooil Rig" cost $10 upon release. "Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines" is also included in the game's season pass, which includes the previous expansions, for $20.
