Microsoft adds eight more games to Xbox One Backward Compatibility list

Microsoft continues to expand the list of Xbox 360 games that are backward compatible with the Xbox One today, as eight additional titles have been added to the list.

Even though the list is always expanding at a rapid pace, eight new games is still a lot, and there are some big titles in today's addition. Last week's addition of five games saw a major milestone for the company, as there are now over 200 Xbox 360 games that can be played on the Xbox One.

Here are the new games that were added today:

Blood Knights ($14.99)

Two deadly enemies. One blood bond. No mercy. Fight with Alysa and Jeremy against hordes of enemies. Carnage for two: play solo or with a friend! The hack'n'slay offers single and multiplayer modes that allow you to play solo or with another player at any time. Co-op mode opens up a range of different tactical combat options: capture enemies with the vampire grip and drink their blood to increase your strength. Share your blood with your fellow player and support them.

Comic Jumper ($14.99)

Here we are, it’s impulse buy time. You already know how awesome "Comic Jumper" is going to be from that sweet demo, but maybe you need more. How about a free premium dashboard theme? Free gamerpics? Free avatar accessories? Yes. Tons of unlockables and bonuses? How about a few new "Splosion Man" levels for good measure? "Comic Jumper" comes from Twisted Pixel Games, creators of the award-winning "Splosion Man" and "The Maw".

Crystal Quest ($4.99)

The 1987 classic returns with updated graphics, enhanced special effects and Dolby sound! Pilot your ship through 60 waves, collecting crystals and evading the Nasties. These unique baddies--each one different--emerge from portals on each side of the screen. Fire your weapon at them, or deploy a smart bomb to vaporize every Nasty on the screen. Grab all the crystals to open the gateway at the bottom of the screen. And don’t forget to gather up the goodies in each wave… you can find bonus points, extra smart bombs and even an occasional mega-crystal for massive points!

Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara ($14.99)

Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara combines two timeless D&D arcade classics -Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara- into one definitive package. Red Faction: Battlegrounds ($9.99)

The destructive gameplay from the Red Faction franchise comes to the arcade with twin-stick shooter Red Faction: Battlegrounds! Jump into your favorite tank or mech and use Gauss Cannons, Thermobaric Rockets, and Singularity Bombs to destroy the competition in a variety of party-play style local and online multiplayer modes and single player challenges.

As usual, it's worth noting that if the game you're waiting for isn't yet on the list, it's likely coming eventually, as the list is rapidly expanding.
