Microsoft adds five more games to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list

Microsoft today added five more games to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list, including Assassin's Creed III, ilomilo, Matt Hazard: BBB, Shadow Assault/Tenchu, and Shinobi. This should bring the list up to 387 games, as the company edges closer to its next milestone of 400.

Here are today's additions:

Assassin's Creed III ($19.99)

Shadow Assault/Tenchu ($9.99)

Tenchu, the world-famous ninja action game, is now on Xbox LIVE Arcade. Control your favorite characters as you use a variety of ninja weapons to defeat your enemies and complete your missions. Use traps in multiplayer mode to kill your friends for massive points!

Shinobi ($4.99)

As the ninja Shinobi (Joe Musashi) you must stop who the criminal organization called "Zeed" who has kidnapped the children of the Oboro clan. Test your ninja skills through five missions of increasing difficulty as Musashi must make his way to Zeed's headquarters and free all the hostages. Zeed's leaders, known as "Ring of Five", are determined to stop you as you'll face one at the end of each stage.

If you're looking for new games on the cheap, keep in mind that it's not too late to grab this month's Games with Gold, which offers four free games per month to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. You've got until the end of the month to claim Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Director's Cut (Xbox One) and Lego Star Wars: TCS (Xbox 360), and until June 15 to grab Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (Xbox One).

New backward compatible games are typically announced on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so make sure to check back later this week.
