PlayStation exclusive Godfall headed to Xbox, gets VRR and Dolby Vision support

Godfall is a fast-paced action role-playing game that was a PlayStation 5 (PS5) launch title back in November 2020. The project received poor reviews, but the team has since added a lot more content to the game and made other quality-of-life improvements. Now, it's a fun and surprisingly addictive experience that focuses on upgrading your character and acquiring better loot.

While the title has been available on PS5, PlayStation 4, and PC — through the Epic Games Store — for a while now, it's finally been announced for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The game is coming on April 7, 2022, and features some Xbox-specific enhancements that should set it apart from other versions.

For example, since Xbox supports Variable Refresh Rate and Dolby Vision, the performance should appear smoother and colors should be even more vibrant than standard high-dynamic-range (HDR) lighting.

You'll be able to purchase Godfall: Ultimate Edition for $39.99 on April 7, but if you pre-order the package, you'll be able to get get it for $29.99. The Ultimate Edition includes Godfall, the Primal, Lightbringer, and Exalted updates, and the massive Fire & Darkness expansion. Godfall: Ultimate Edition is also coming to Steam since its Epic Games Store exclusivity also ends on April 7.
