There is perhaps nothing more grinding than phone notifications when you don’t want to hear them. To help you control your notifications, the secure email provider, ProtonMail, has updated its Android app with additional notification snooze controls. The update also brings with it support for additional languages including Dutch, Polish, Spanish and Italian.
In its blog post, ProtonMail says:
“Email notifications can be essential during working hours, but in the event of an important meeting or downtime from the frenetic digital world, everyone needs some time off. This is why ProtonMail now offers the option of choosing to instantly snooze of schedule to snooze your notifications at a given time of the day, with the possibility of repeating this action automatically.”
To access the snooze controls, pull open the left-side drawer, in the top right you’ll find the Notifications Snooze button, clicking this will bring up the options to snooze notifications for 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, custom, or scheduled. Scheduling snooze allows you to pick the hours and days where you want notifications to be turned off, which the app will then handle without any intervention on your part.
Aside from snooze and the added languages, the update brings fix for an issue with saving draftsand also some other smaller improvements and fixes.
