Nearing finishing the SP campaign, haven't touched MP. Such a great game, I love the characters. Far better than GTA4, and it looks stunning on consoles.

The new update gaves us a bunch of clothes and 2 new weapons...they're not worth getting excited about though. I was at first until I tried them out. :/

3 vehicles too, the dune buggy thing is kinda cool

True. I  like the BF Injector, didn't get the other two since my garage has other vehicles in it. I hope they get the heists out soon because I'm starting to get really bored now and tired of idiots in tanks camping out now and all that. The Pier survival is just horrid and virtually impossible as with the Sawmill survival.

Finished all the main missions 2 days ago. After that stole the military jet and helicopter and store them to hangar and garage.

Besides the small missions (like strangers and freaks) is there anything else fun to be done in single player?

Not really, I still haven't done all the submarine, letter etc ones offline. Unless you make up stuff to do, I used to play a game in Vice City "Killing Fatties" where you go nuts with the katana and tear gas at the beach. Haven't seen very many for this GTA though. Or you can riddle a car with sticky bombs drive around and set it off and see how many cars and peds you wipe out? Idk I'm just going with what's popping inside my head atm.

I stopped playing after I finished the SP. As much as I enjoyed it, I had my fill of side missions and messing around with sandboxes years ago.

Wasn't interested in MP after experiencing GTA4's.

You might not like it now since they cut payouts and XP in half after you've done the missions. Just end up bored after doing the same crap over and over until they get the heists online. Most say to use your imagination to find fun ways to play GTA Online, kinda hard to have much fun anymore. The kill everything and everyone for no reason has pretty much killed the fun factor.

Which is about why I stopped playing online.  It's boring and frustrating getting no cash to feel like you're moving up, so the nerfed it even more, now the only fun ###### is what gets you put on the naughty servers.

Also, doing bone yard a million times. I get burnt out on it...I tried the pier survival and don't care for it, also the sawmill is not worth doing bc you hit more equipment then enemies. I actually went back to solo online, tired of people camping around pay n spray, killing ya and then not letting you get back to your car. I'm starting to get to that point of not playing online anymore too, I'm only at 77. I just don't see this catching on like Rockstar wanted it, Feel it's starting to become WOW with all the little kids flooding and destroying what was once awesome quality to play. Then the ones who constantly complain about "farming" is pretty much what put all the nerfing into play.

I know after getting my strength maxed out they reset everyone's and I'm not even going to bother getting it back up, it would take a month or more just to do it! They really should of added weight lifting.

Reasons you've stated is why I've given up on it's multiplayer

Jerks with tanks and so on, not caring about the 'bad sport' debuff

Personally, I would have liked that to be 1 real time week long, and the counter to stop counting when not in multiplayer, and user is not allowed to use cars or guns, sitting in their apartment for a real life week waiting for the debuff to run it's course or running around, hoping not to get picked off by revenge users might just make them fall in line, or get rid of them entirely

Sorry for the extreme view on it, but I've had enough of it.

I don't blame you at all...a lot of people are ###### about that stuff...

With the nerfing of race prizes there doesn't seem to be worth investing in a super class car anymore. At about $3000 max per won race it'd take ages to justify the >$750k cost.

At least it's not like you actually need to buy a car to win anyway, with the amount of super class races I've won I would probably be able to buy every upgrade for one of those cars.

For some reason about 9 out of 10 races are with super, I don't see how they might be any more fun than with other car classes.

Wow what was the original payout for races? I never really done them, If i need fast cash I just do survivals for the 20k

I really resent the nerfing of race winnings, I didnt win a lot, but it was enough to make it worthwhile between waiting on turning in cars at Los Santos Customs.

Now, not so much. All the money nerfing is making the game less compelling to play, especially knowing everyone out there with millions of $$ pre-nerf, how the heck am I going to end up on a level playing field with these guys? Buy Rockstar $$ because I couldnt play 24/7 on release of the Online like these guys did?

I have fun playing with my friends, but with all the money nerfing its starting to become a money loser to do missions even, I shouldnt have to spend more than 2x (or more) what Im paid out in a mission because Rockstar feels we are making too much money.

They are going to lose all their online players well before heists get put into online mode at this rate, because Im not going to spend more than $20 once on a money pack just to see how it works.

Depended on the Race and number of racers, but like 10k generally for winning, and then half that for 2nd place, half again 3rd, then 4th, then some other formula for the rest, to 8th.

Oh okay, are they cut in half after doing them like missions? or is it just straight halfed from the get go?

Oh okay, are they cut in half after doing them like missions? or is it just straight halfed from the get go?

The later, I think. I have been in some races I had never played before and the prizes were also ridiculous.

Maybe Rockstar thought that people were racing far to much compared to the other activities, which made sense considering that you could make about $50k somewhat fast and you didn't have to spend money on equipment or ammo.

Survival is a decent way to make money but you also have to eventually spend on ammo and also it takes a lot longer than racing.

Also everyone seems to be grinding Boneyard (as it's quite easy to complete, even on your own) and it's getting boring already.

This game is running out of fun fast for me  :/ screwing around with friends is still kinda ok, but there isn't that much stuff to look forward to: desirable goods like super cars are overly expensive and now with the prize nerfing they aren't a good investment at all (you can still win plenty of races with a stock super without upgrades) and a sports car is fast enough to take you anywhere in free roam or missions.

Most of the other goods (helicopters, boats) and both expensive and mostly useless, and with the $500k giveaway pretty much everyone has house already.

So (besides trying weird things with friends) once you have completed the few available activities plenty of times, what's in it? What's the point of grinding if there's nothing really worth to spend you money on?

I don't think it would be all that hard to create more different missions at least. Different in plot and objectives: stealing a truck is stealing a truck no matter if it's full of TVs or gas and there are at least five of those, which play pretty much the same.

What do we have, about 10 different missions copy/pasted over and over with a different name?

Survival could also use some variety: we have different scenarios but the waves are exactly the same everywhere. You can even tell where the enemies will be spawning exactly depending on the players' positions, and of course which weapons they carry and how many helis will show up.

Rockstar is calming Grand Theft Auto players down who are concerned that they may get their accounts banned through no fault of their own. The fear stems from GTA Online money hackers who are giving away large sums of (we assume ill-gotten) in-game currency to strangers, making them vulnerable to a ban by Rockstar.

Rockstar's position is that honest players do not need to be worried about getting banned.

Here's more from Rockstar's support page for the game:

Question: I was minding my own business and suddenly received a huge amount of money in GTA Online from a cheater. Am I in trouble?

Answer: To keep the gameplay environment as fair as possible for legitimate players, we routinely do sweeps to separate out cheaters and modders, and to reverse any illegitimate transactions. These sweeps are based on in-game automated detection, examination of suspicious gameplay statistics, and also manually-reviewed evidence submitted by the Community. If you were not engaged in any willful cheating or exploiting yourself, you do not need to worry about getting caught up in our work to separate out cheaters from the rest of the population.

I just collected a bounty last night. Red dot coming at me, killed him. Few hundred million. First time that ever happened. I guess I should buy a different place and more cars incase they take back the money?

Not my fault someone else cheated.

few hundred million? You lucky ######, although I gave up on that game a while ago and went back to red dead...

I was playing with a few friends and all of us got 2 payments of 52 million and just went crazy buying all the best cars and weapons and every plane and boat. It was a great Christmas and have not had that much fun on GTA in a while and still have everything. I am wondering what they are going to do about it.

    • First time clicking on a Sayan Sen article after he started making clickbait, vague headlines recently. Didn't read, just came here to say the headline doesn't look like very cheap, vague clickbait this time. Are you okay?
    • Good review, and yeah the benchmark breakdown is pretty clear but also a little messy in a good way. It’s kinda interesting to see where the RX 9070 GRE slides in between the 7800 XT and the 9070 XT , especially when it comes to AI tasks and Blender style workloads. The side by side with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and 4070 makes it feel obvious just how competitive the mid range GPU scene has gotten lately, and that’s great for creators and gamers too since you can pick based on your priorities rather than only chasing one single thing.
    • That's it. I finally uninstalled Firefox because they often keep pushing buggy updates, only to test them later and make users suffer. No longer is it my alternative browser to Edge. What a waste of energy. Firefox is bad for the environment, just like Chrome (wasting RAM/energy).

A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. Moving to more positive news, Microsoft and Adobe are working on improving Windows performance in popular creative apps like Photoshop. Thanks to SPGO optimizations, users can expect up to 20% better performance. Finally, we have a few useful articles that can help you recover your PC or make it perform better. There are two important steps you can try to get your system back to working in no time. Additionally, there is a more detailed guide on various CPU performance modes that could notably improve performance. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. Both devices feature little to no visual differences compared to their predecessors from 2024, and most changes hide inside, including a better processor, faster graphics, enhanced NPUs, and more. The Surface Laptop also received a new haptic trackpad. Mozilla is currently working on a major Firefox redesign, and earlier this week, it published a roadmap of upcoming features and highlights of the upcoming "Project Nova" rework. Files, one of the best file managers for Windows 10 and 11, has been updated in the Preview channel with a long-requested feature. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks. Luckily, only a few days later, another fix arrived, which re-enabled Eliminator and patched the exploit. Microsoft announced new games for Game Pass subscribers.
