Offline messaging refers to the fact you can send a message to someone who is offline, as in, doesn't have their computer on or connected to MSN. It stores the message server side and delivers it when the person signs on. Yahoo has been doing this for years.

So has ICQ, I missed that since the majority of my friends switched to MSN.

i got my download link on ideas.live.com already but the connect page is still the old one.

i got the e-mail, and the connect site says i'm active.. but i never got a download link, and when i installed it from someone else's link, it says i'm not authorized to be using it. =/

i noticed a bug.. you can talk to people when appearing offline

If you use trillian you can do this as well on MSN. if you are online and start a conversation with someone you can go invisible and still carry on a conversation.

The thing that bothers me the most is not actually to obtain the official WLM Beta, but the desing of the new messenger. In fact it looks much like the Wave 11 concept screenshots posted on the web a while ago, but its graphics are uglier.

So what i would like to know, is the desing going to improve during the approach to the Final release, or is it going to look mostly like it does right now??

anybody have a problem when changing the orange theme to a diff color & setting your new color to default & when you reboot your computer or reopen the beta the color is orange again ?
