Bioshock General Discussion ( Xbox 360 )

Don't ever go to Wal-Mart expecting new release games at midnight. They're retarded and don't put them out until 9AM even though they're open 24 hours.

Now I have to be at Circuit City at 10AM to get it for $10 less. Wal-Mart is definitely not getting my money for this game.

I go expecting new releases all the time, and get them. Guitar Hero II, Bioshock if I wasn't getting it on Steam (I know people that got it tonight), Madden and NCAA (same story, not interested but I know it was sold at midnight), Halo 3 will be midnight sale, etc...

Even if they aren't expecting a crowd bitching at the overnight person long enough can get you your copy so long as it was sent ahead of time.

I'll be grabbing my preorder from GameStop after a meeting at work. Sucks working nights and having to drop in for 2 hour meetings in the morning. I don't know how much I'll be able to play since I usually sleep before work. Debating whether to just wait until tomorrow morning...but I know that won't happen

Well I've got bad news. Apparently Play has run out of BioShock faceplates so it looks like we may be getting it late =/

awww ghey!

I hope mine was in the first batch. Though I guess I am not too bothed waiting a few more days after release.

Well I went to two different ones around here and both told me "we won't get it till around 9 AM," so perhaps it's based on the area. I figured as much as you did, that if we bothered them enough we'd get it, but they made it sound like there was nothing they could do. Ah well, I'll be grabbing mine in 45 minutes from Circuit City for a better price, so I can't complain.

Work cannot end soon enough, then I have to traverse through possible flooding to pick it up.

Where I live in NJ, it has been raining now for pretty much the past 3 days, today being the worst day so far, and I actually thought it was very fitting for the release of this game, as the whole vibe of the weather is very much lots and lots of water.

About 7 hours to go until I am actually playing it. Damn responsibility sucks.

What is their (GAME) delivery like?

i think the quote is of me, well even if its not i can answer, there delivery is gold, whenever i preorder i always get the game 1 day early, but i hear some people get it 2 days early, which is have heard is because of there proximity to the depot

I just stopped playing since about 10:30 when I got it back to my house, so it's been 2 and a half hours. I LOVE THIS GAME.

The only reason I'm taking a break is the simple fact that I have some work to do today. Otherwise I'd keep playing.

Yes, easily. Very smooth.

But the textures weren't any higher resolution than the 360 version, which made them look like crap, IMO. You can't enable anti-aliasing, either, and it shows big-time. The 360 version either has anti-aliasing or there is a very good blurring technique to look like AA. Widescreen mode on PC is also fubared (they cut off the top and bottom segments, like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. did before it was patched).

Looks better on the 360, plus I get achievement points. lol

    • This is about the already discredited 2025 announcement. Not the current one, which I've heard nothing negative about in the academic literature.
    • So, for $60 we got GTA 5 WITH online. Now for $80, we get a game missing areas (shops locked to the $100 version) and no online. Progress!
