I must have learnt how to drive wrong, I was under the impression you did not accelerate and brake at the same time?? :p

right... and you NEVER use your left foot to brake.

ya do in old cars....I always use my right for gas and brakes everywhere else but my old 68 and many others you have to keep your left foot ready..since your knees are touching the steering column

Tyler_durden,

I wouldn't exactly knock a Supra.. saying that you wish you were a millionaire so that you didnt have to drive one!

Supra's kick ASS and I would give a lung to be able to afford one.. :(

They are a very uncommon car, they deserve immense respect on the road, and they will outperform a huge majority of cars on UK roads.

hey dont worry, i wasnt diss'in it, i love my car. i was just sayin i wouldnt be ownin it if i was a millionaire...

btw i picked it up for ?12,000 second hand (about the price of a focus) - what would you choose?

ive had it a year and nuffins gone wrong (thankfully - parts are murder to get hold of) but i hope it wont....its japenese.

(its actually for sale at the moment - im testing the market to see if i can get an Evo VII)

You have the same philosophy as me.. I got my Corrado for ?4,500 - like your Supra, its pretty uncommon on the roads, and gets plenty of interest off people.

I figured it was either that, or something like an Escort - not exactly a tough choice. If you look around, and shop carefully, you can end up with a car thats just as reliable as a new one.. just need to know what you are doing, and know where to get it looked after & serviced:))

How is the Supra for reliability? And dare I ask.. whats petrol consumption like:DD I take it yours is the twin turbo?

evo VII ?? damn thats a nice car

is ur supra right hand drive????

my car is also for sale

need money for university

my supra's LHD...its a grey import so i always get nasty looks from the dealer but its really reliable. I wouldnt buy new ever....you lose at least ?1000 when you take it outta the showroom.

yeah its a twin turbo manual...i get about 17mpg

my car lost value when i got it from the dealer

people living with their parents (or teenagers) should say who paid for their car...

mommy and/or daddy or themselves.

not going to pick on anyone but you can easily always see the cars mommy and daddy buy... the person doesn't appreciate their car that much at all compared to one who had to save up to buy their own car.

btw.. i paid for my own car.. i don't need to be spoiled by my parents :p

That statement was a little uncalled for in my opinion. Who cares who paid for the car. I bought my first car when I was in high school (1998), but the money was from what my parents had deposited into a savings account after I was born. The car was a P.O.S. (a 1986 Isuzu Impulse), but I am glad I no longer have it anymore.

this is the car I will be getting when I become old enough to drive, maybe a coupe, I dunno

uh...yeah...

The point of this thread is to show CURRENT cars you OWN - not to exclaim what you might have in the improbable future. Oh yeah...and I agree with the above post...Your car and your parents car ARE two different things.

"My future car will be a BMW roadster with a 800HP Mini-Fusion Reactor and Mag-Lev Wheels. Geez!"

    • But they will be the first asking for a bail out the moment crap goes sideways. Its just a matter of time with this AI thing unless skynet gets us first.
    • I'm so conflicted with the Google Search AI summaries. On one hand I don't like how it's harming smaller websites by greatly reducing traffic which will harm us all in the long run but on the other hand those AI summaries often give me the information I'm after. I have never once clicked on 'show me more' though and never will.
    • Not a single company as small or large it may be is obligated to subsidize its products and sell them at a loss. Your way of thinking is socialist and as a West German with a German brother state but impoverished by state dictatorship and a socialist command economy situated to the East i can tell you - this kind of thinking very quickly leads to products not being produced anymore at all. EDIT: That does not mean that I find state support for social needs unreasonable. Quite the contrary. Together with solid workers' rights we exactly had exactly that in Germany for decades in the form of the Sozialstaat which was as the scandinavian social democratic very successful - until the number of people who drew from those resources dramatically increased (ironically a project of social democrat and green proponents).
