My poor old touch...

The only thing added to the ipod touch 2g was volume buttons and a speaker. Nothing exciting. so basically the are pretty much the same.

I don't want the links at all though. This has always been an option under the General prefs.

Does anyone know where they store the settings for iTunes? I'm going to see if I can hunt down where 7.7 stores the settings for Genre browser view and iTunes store links and see if I can apply them somehow to 8. :)

This is pretty cool, I like the new grid view, but it does draw attention to my missing missing album art :(

My genres are an utter mess, and I'm surprised that it doesn't recognize Indie Rock, Industrial, Instrumental or Metal, yet it recognizes things like Comedy, Gospel, Dance Hall and Bandas Sonoras.

Irritating how grid view doesn't play everything. Genius is...not as good as I thought :/ Why do I need an iTunes account?

iTunes tells me that a new iPod software version (2.1) is available but requires iTunes 7.7.1. This after I installed iTunes 8.

not sure i like this Genius feature, mainly as its taken sodding ages to scan my library, admitidly a little big at 10,000 tracks but still, has one of my cores maxed out and its taken half an hour to do 40% lol. And not sure if i like it scanning my library :ninja: then uploading "something" to apple, bettter be anonymous lol

at first i did, the installer kept crashing at the end, so unintalled ituens and quicktime restarted comp and installed fine

Now they messed it up on Vista (probably XP too) where iTunes doesn't open maximized. =|

Eh? It's fine for me. Some of the suggestions are a bit off, but Genius gradually improves as it learns from other users.
