Sony offers new PlayStation VR and Camera bundle, lowers price on PS VR Worlds bundle

In the past two months, Oculus and HTC have both dramatically discounted the price of their VR units. It seems like Sony might be feeling the heat a bit as it has released a new bundle that includes the PlayStation VR and PlayStation Camera for $399.99.

The new bundle is already available on Amazon but should make its way to other retailers on September 1. Previously, the PlayStation VR headset itself was priced at $399.99 and also required users to purchase the PlayStation Camera for an additional $59.99, if they didn't already own it. If you want something more substantial, you can spring for the PlayStation VR Worlds bundle that includes: the PS VR headset, PS Camera, a set of PlayStation Move motion controllers, and PlayStation VR Worlds. Although this is an existing bundle, it will be available at a lower price of $449.

As mentioned before, if thinking about VR for PC, the HTC Vive is now priced $200 cheaper at $599, while the Oculus Rift now can be had for $399. Both will require a PC with quite a bit of power so be sure to check the required system specifications.
