Weekend PC Game Deals: More than enough free events to try among other specials

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

The double giveaway from the Epic Games Store offered last week has come to an end, now replaced by InnerSpace as the latest free game. Developed by PolyKnight Games, The indie title is an exploration heavy experience that has you flying and diving through a strange and ancient universe in order to preserve it.

You don’t need much else than an Epic Games account to add the title to your library. InnerSpace is playable on Windows and macOS machines, and you have until March 5 to claim the game.

The weekly giveaway promotion goes back to being a double freebie next week, with the platformer GoNNer and strategy game Offworld Trading Company incoming.

March will soon be here along with its first Friday, and that means Humble will be refreshing its Choice bundle to offer a new selection of games. Since there's less than a week remaining on the February offerings, here's a refresher on the games available that you can choose from:

You can subscribe to the bundle's $14.99 tier to grab any three of the games available, but opting for the $19.99 tier will let you have nine games. Finally, members with active subscriptions since the classic Monthly Bundle days can pick 10 games to keep, all for $12.

The next Choice bundle is slated to land on March 6. Don't forget that Humble's VR and Digital Tabletop bundles - that we've highlighted previously - are still ongoing as well.

Free Events

The free event program for this weekend has turned out to be quite a packed one, with five games offering themselves to be tried out.

Kicking things off is Ubisoft with The Division 2, making the looter RPG's full base content free-to-play for the weekend on Uplay ahead of the upcoming expansion. Don't forget the game is also only $3 to purchase right now.

Meanwhile, the rest of the free events are happening on Steam, with Paradox's grand strategy game Hearts of Iron IV, the open-world survival game ARK, the cooperative cave diving title Deep Rock Galactic, as well as the extreme bike racing game Descenders being available to try out for free until Monday. Don't forget the Half-Life franchise is free-to-play until March 23 as well.

Big Deals

Without any special store-wide promotions running, some big-name publishers have decided this is a great weekend to put their popular wares on sale, which is always good news. See our top highlights from this weekend's games on sale below:

DRM-free Goodness

Quite a large number of games are on sale this weekend on the GOG store as well, all arriving without a shred of DRM. The store also refreshed its refund policy recently, giving customers 30 days to return games if they face issues.

Keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals may vary depending on the region you're in.

And that is it for our pick of this weekend's PC game deals folks, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint to not add even more games to your growing backlogs this season. Of course, there is an enormous amount of more deals ready and waiting all over the internet if you comb through it hard enough, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a wonderful weekend.
