Windows 10 SDK Preview build 19041 is now available

It's Tuesday, and that means it's time for a new Windows 10 SDK Preview build to be released for Insiders. This week, it's build 19041, which is the same as the Windows 10 build that was released to Insiders in both Fast and Slow rings last week.

As usual, there aren't any notable changes in this release. The next feature update for Windows 10, currently known as 20H1 or version 2004, is nearing completion. In fact, last week was somewhat different because only one build was released to Insiders in both Slow and Fast rings, after a couple of weeks with two builds each. Meanwhile, the Fast ring has now moved on to testing future versions of Windows 10, and Microsoft has said there won't be any more builds this year, so 19041 could well be the build number that will end up in the public release of Windows 10 version 2004.

To use the latest SDK preview build, you'll need to be running an Insider build, and using Visual Studio 2017 or newer. You can install it alongside a stable version of the SDK, and continue developing apps that target current versions of Windows 10.

You can download the latest build of the SDK from the Windows Insider website, along with matching builds of the Windows Driver Kit (WDK), Hardware Lab Kit (HLK), and Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK).
