Products that use the latest solid-state drive technology, Gen5, are slowly but surely starting to come out to the PC market. While some major SSD makers have yet to release Gen5 storage options, one of them who has is Crucial with its T700 series.
If you have a compatible motherboard, you can go ahead and get the 4TB version of the Crucial T700 for what is currently its lowest price ever. The standard version is priced at $389.99 at Amazon, which is $210 off its launch price. You can also get the same product with an included heatsink for $476.36, or $153.53 off its launch price.
The Corsair M700, when placed in the right motherboard, is supposed to offer super fast read speeds of up to 12,400MB/s and write speeds of up to 11,800MB/s. Crucial says that's nearly twice as fast as its Gen4 internal SSDs.
When the Crucial T700 SSDs were first announced earlier this year by its parent company Micron, it stated:
