Virgin Media removes £35 setup fee until next week

If you’re living in the UK and are out-of-contract on your broadband, now would be a good time to check out what Virgin Media has on offer because it has scrapped its £35 setup fee across the board. The savings can be had no matter whether you sign-up to fibre broadband and phone, broadband only, or go with the big bundle.

If you’re thinking about taking advantage of the deal you’ll want to be quick as the firm will be reinstating the charge from 11:59 pm on Sunday 23 February. Rather than heading straight over to Virgin Media’s website and picking from the package selection, it may also be worth using a comparison website, such as uSwitch, to see whether you can further shave some money off the total cost.

Virgin Media’s price reduction comes just days after a new rule from Ofcom came into effect ensuring that out-of-contract customers of phone, broadband, and pay-TV services are offered new deals to keep them from paying higher bills. Under the rules, companies are required to inform their customers that the current contract is about to end.

You can find Virgin Media’s offers over on its broadband page.
