This is a little bit late, but isn't it a little frusterating that Jose Contreras pitched quite well agains't the red sox in a white sox uniform but not for us? Spending two minutes watching Contreras pitch you can tell that Don Cooper got him to change his arm angle which makes his pitches come from different angles and he is more comfortable throwing strikes. He wasn't a pitcher that would throw strikes and now he is. With the nasty stuff he has throwing strikes was the key to getting hitters out.
