BTW: Why was my post deleted below Ortegas? I did't post anything wrong that I'm aware of....

I deleted it when you quoted a fellow member when he was discussing and admitting to the usage of warez. Dozens of posts have been removed and yours was too, as you quoted another member.

Erm...11 meg eh? my winamp only tooks 3 meg...oh...right2..it's only beta...but I hope you fanboys not only use it for the looks :x

I'm not a fanboy. Compared to iTunes, it doesn't use hardly anything. Yea, I know he mentioned Winamp, but I was speaking in general. Are you using WA Lite or full?

If this is WGA enabled, then isn't it a possibility that this could cause a blacklisting of a legit copy of Windows?

It will be WGA enabled, and MS will stop at nothing to make sure it's a pain to anyone who tries to install it on a non-genuine copy of windows. There is always the possiblity that someone with a legal copy of windows gets blacklisted..it seems to happen a lot and MS have turned a blind eye to it..they seem to think that screwing over some of thier legit customers to stop the bigger piracy problem is justified...

oh this is crap ..

Do I have to have this Urge crap installed when the public release comes out? Not only does this name scare me, but I dispise all things related to MTv.

No you don't have to install Urge, say no when it asks for it. Also, you can change online stores by clicking the arrow on the Urge button, or whatever store is currently in use. The arrow drops down a list so choose "Browse all online stores" and you will be able to choose MSN Music, Napster, or other stores that they have.

Urge just gets special treatment, thats all.

Well I got bored so I thought I'd get it and make some preview screenshots of the library loaded up (LISTED by songs, you can list other ways):

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/001.jpg - artist with lot of albums

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/002.jpg - artists with similar names

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/003.jpg - artist with and without art

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/004.jpg - artists with full album near misc songs from misc arts

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/005.jpg - artist with album near single song

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/006.jpg - artist with album listings - NICE!

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/007.jpg - random weird songs I have listed

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/008.jpg - etc

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/009.jpg - more cool artist albums listing!

http://home.comcast.net/~ericmassara/wmp11/010.gif - more random songs

-Stupid URGE crap logo WILL NOT go away

-the artists grouped into their albums with art is sweet! it's like a awesome foobar2000 setup without the work!

-notice how the navigation to your current spot it straight out of vista (Music > Library > etc... )

sorry I don't know how to do those little preview windows

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
