Pacific Assault demo delayed

The day after it announced the sample of the WWII shooter was due soon, Electronic Arts puts it on hold.

PC gamers across the world uttered a collective groan late Thursday after another high-profile download was delayed. Following the weeks-long, on-again-off-again saga of Ubisoft's Far Cry patch release (and subsequent withdrawal), Electronic Arts has announced the Medal of Honor Pacific Assault demo won't be storming the virtual shores any time soon.

Electronic Arts was short on reasons for the delay, but was long on apologies. "I apologize for the start & stop as I was really looking forward to releasing the demo, but can say with confidence that I know you'll be impressed when you get a chance to play it for yourselves," said an EA rep. Provided there are no other last-minute setbacks, the Medal of Honor Pacific Assault demo will arrive "in a couple of weeks."
