Yeah at the end of the match when the one larger dude handed the less larger older looking dude the kitchen sink I was like, this reminds me of "head" or "moppy" for some reason (I literally thought this lol)

Is ICW affiliated with NXT UK at all? I heard the announcers say something about the tag champs I think, but I missed the names. I know some ICW talent moved to NXT UK when they launched it whenever it was this year, but I thought ICW was like, a separate company. I also thought for some odd reason that ICW was originally created by the Whatculture Wrestling crew, or maybe it was another UK based promotion. Destiny, or Defiant or something like that. I really really fell off the UK wrestling scene news wise when the Wrestletalk show that was uploaded on Youtube became its own thing basically a couple years ago. Like, the original host(s) were actual wrestlers who worked in the industry (and I think one of them used to work for WWE creative or something) but then Ollie Davis and Luke Owen (who I love) and then El Fakador etc. Joel Ross was the original dude that I remember. And hell I think Marty Scurll used to present for them when it was on TV at least. I'm shocked I remember all this, and this has nothing to do with ICW I don't think :|

Yeah, like PROGRESS, they're independent, but affiliated with WWE nowadays. And NXT UK did take quite a few of their talent: Noam Dar, Wolfgang, Joe & Mark Coffey, Kenny Williams, Wild Boar, Viper/Piper Niven, Kay Lee Ray, off the top of my head, along with Trent Seven, who was usually back-and-forth between ICW and PROGRESS.

Got there in the end. 😜 It was originally WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW), then Defiant Wrestling (R.I.P.)

I do remember WrestleTalk TV, used to air at 11pm straight after TNA Impact on Challenge TV, and I did used to watch it when Joel Ross hosted, as you said. Then he got sacked after saying something dodgy on social media, then I think it became a rotating role between the usuals, like Francesca Wood (who's the only other one I can remember), and then eventually Marty Scurll got drafted in (still in his Party Marty phase at the time, a long way away from The Villain). I lost interest after it went full YouTube with the current lot - the WrestleTwats, as Cultaholic jokingly call them.

I'd rather them be wrestletwats (man that's a term huh lol) then be SOY BOYS! :D

Full Gear was amazing in many ways, but just to top off this weekend, a mainstream crossover that even people in fever dreams have never concocted...

This is a long one, and be warned there's probably some bad language in there for anyone at work etc - but this is one of the best shoot interviews I've seen in a long while now. Justin Credible on The Hannibal TV, they've been posting bits and pieces of this interview for the past couple of weeks or so, and now the whole thing gets posted (as they always do for their shoot interviews). Some really good discussion on him coming up being a fan of Flair and Hogan, a ton of ECW stuff of course and his thoughts on current things. Enjoy (hopefully!)

Quote

"Last night, after much consideration and prayer, thinking about my kids and their future, I made one of the toughest decisions but most sensible that I could have made in my professional wrestling career; I have asked WWE for my release

Ever since I was a kid, all that I’ve wanted to do is wrestle and all my life, I have made decisions and sacrifices that put me in a position to accomplish my dream. It’s been 20 long years of work and giving it my all to this sport that I love and respect. I’ve traveled all over the world, met incredible people and wrestled for the amazing fans inside the WWE Universe.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity I was given, however, I’ve noticed that I’m trapped in a place where I’m not valued as an athlete or talent. I’ve worked hard and honestly, throughout many years pulling my weight, I’ve been loyal, respectful, a team player, a supporter and I’ve waited patiently for an opportunity to show the world all that I can do. Unfortunately, after all these years, that opportunity never came and I feel like that will never come so long as I stay in the spot that I am.

The best years of my professional wrestling career are yet to come and I believe that the best is yet to come! I am a healthy, disciplined and respectful man towards my profession and its atmosphere, of my co-workers and primarily, the audience whom I’ve never failed. This is not the end, quite the contrary, it’s the start of the next chapter and I am excited for what the future holds.

I want to thank WWE for this incredible chapter. I’ll always be grateful for it. Most importantly, thank you to the WWE Universe for its unwavering support and to the public all over the world who has supported me and cared for me. The only way to give that back is to keep giving it my all, showing my passion and professionalism that I’ve always demonstrated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

I dunno, taking a famous quote from Rowdy Roddy Piper and using it for his own return, was pretty awesome tbh. The reactions in that "ring" were anywhere from "we obviously knew he was here" to "oh ######, what's going on!" (aka Paige) and then Booker T. :D

^^^Uh, what???

I've never seen this guy in the ring or on Twitter etc, but he seems like a real douchebag. And after looking up his wrestling past a little, it seems he's had problems with being a douchebag in other companies. So, whatever.

Yeah, it's a real shame. I remember first seeing him in ROH years ago, he was insanely talented at the time. Obviously, he won't be heading back there. God knows if anyone would sign him to a contract at this point. Maybe MLW, they seem to be the ones who take in the misfits nowadays; Low Ki, Austin Aries, Teddy Hart, etc. and they're also already doing a racial injustice angle with a stable called Injustice (Myron Reed, Kotto Brazil & Jordan Oliver), so ACH would fit right in with them.

    • LibreWolf 151.0.3-1 by Razvan Serea LibreWolf is an independent “fork” of Firefox, with the primary goals of privacy security and user freedom. It is the community run successor to LibreFox. LibreWolf is designed to increase protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also including a few security improvements. This is achieved through our privacy and security oriented settings and patches. LibreWolf also aims to remove all the telemetry, data collection and annoyances, as well as disabling anti-freedom features like DRM. LibreWolf features: Latest Firefox — LibreWolf is compiled directly from the latest build of Firefox Stable. You will have the the latest features, and security updates. Independent Build — LibreWolf uses a build independent of Firefox and has its own settings, profile folder and installation path. As a result, it can be installed alongside Firefox or any other browser. No phoning home — Embedded server links and other calling home functions are removed. In other words, minimal background connections by default. User settings updates Extensions firewall: limit internet access for extensions. Multi-platform (Windows/Linux/Mac/and soon Android) Community-Driven Dark theme (classic and advanced) LibreWolf privacy features: Delete cookies and website data on close. Include only privacy respecting search engines like DuckDuckGo and Searx. Include uBlockOrigin with custom default filter lists, and Tracking Protection in strict mode, to block trackers and ads. Strip tracking elements from URLs, both natively and through uBO. Enable dFPI, also known as Total Cookie Protection. Enable RFP which is part of the Tor Uplift project. RFP is considered the best in class anti-fingerprinting solution, and its goal is to make users look the same and cover as many metrics as possible, in an effort to block fingerprinting techniques. Always display user language as en-US to websites, in order to protect the language used in the browser and in the OS. Disable WebGL, as it is a strong fingerprinting vector. Prevent access to the location services of the OS, and use Mozilla's location API instead of Google's API. Limit ICE candidates generation to a single interface when sharing video or audio during a videoconference. Force DNS and WebRTC inside the proxy, when one is being used. Trim cross-origin referrers, so that they don't include the full URI. Disable link prefetching and speculative connections. Disable disk cache and clear temporary files on close. Disable form autofill. Disable search and form history...and more. • Gf needed a new Surface and was looking at a Surface Laptop because of the Snapdragon. Seeing as it was a two year old chip she just decided to get a Lenovo Yoga 2 in 1 instead. Personally this Surface Ultra Cassis reminds me a bit of Razor. It would be interesting if it could handle proper gaming and be 17 inch.
    • No idea, frankly, I'm not into minimum requirements gaming, but it would be an interesting test to find out. Also, I just have to point out that it wasn't my intention to downplay the performance of DXVK on Linux or Linux gaming in general (despite my own experience being a bit of a mixed bag). I just thought it would be good to point out that DXVK is not Linux exclusive and that you can benefit from using it even in Windows.
