Apex Legends gaining a duos mode next week as a limited time event

Teamwork

Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends is not a stranger to special events, with various limited-time affairs that add a twist to the old battle royale formula coming in every month or so. As a part of these, a solo mode briefly entered the game back in August.

And now, Respawn has announced a duos mode for Apex Legends, which is coming as a replacement for the current Fight or Fright Halloween event. This mode will begin its run on November 5, less than a week from now. Sadly, no more information other than a teaser on Twitter was shared today.

Special events excluded, the base game mode of Apex Legends has been trios since its launch, even bundling up solo players into teams. It's good to see that a lot of players' wishes for different team makeups will be granted soon. Also, unlike the current event, this upcoming limited-time mode will be using the new World's Edge map that arrived with the game's third season launch.

Apex Legends recently celebrated crossing the 70 million player mark across all platforms. Moreover, it is also one of the games confirmed to be coming to Steam, as EA begins its return to the platform.
