Nexus 8 spotted in Indian import logs

The Google Nexus 8 tablet which has been rumoured to arrive for a long time has now been spotted in import logs in India, where it may have been sent for testing purposes.

The existence of Google's upcoming Nexus 8 tablet has been confirmed by data found in import logs of a shipment tracker in India.

Rumours about the Nexus 8 tablet have been flying around for more than six months. A variety of images, renders, and hardware specifications have popped up online. However, the tablet still remains a mystery as all the information available is vague and inconsistent.

However, the import data log from India has confirmed the existence of the tablet and a probable price of $285 as declared by the importer. The log also mentions that the Nexus 8 is similar to the Nexus 7 which probably indicates similar design which we have seen in leaked images before. The alleged specifications for the tablet from previous leaks include a 64-bit Qualcomm processor of unknown variety and 3GB of RAM.

Many devices such as the Nokia X2, have been revealed by the same shipment tracker in the past and are generally sent to India for testing purposes, which means that the launch of the tablet may be near.
