Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab S3 at Mobile World Congress

Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Tab S3 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This comes after press images of the device were leaked weeks prior to the event. In a press release today, Samsung claimed the Galaxy Tab S3, along with the Galaxy Book which was also released today, offers users a "premium mobile experience".

Samsung purports that the Galaxy Tab S3 is "optimised for entertainment," and to this end, the tablet features a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display, as well as quad-stereo speakers tuned by AKG. A Wi-Fi and an LTE version of the tablet will be available, and Samsung promises faster charging and a longer battery life. An updated S Pen will now come with every Galaxy Tab S3 as well. Samsung has also partnered with companies such as Amazon to allow users of the tablet to view HDR original videos. The Galaxy Tab S3 also sports features specifically designed for gaming, such as a a Vulkan API which provides "superior graphics".

The unveiling of the Galaxy Tab S3 comes amid the release of Samsung's Windows 10 Tablet, the Galaxy Book. Both devices feature Samsung Flow, a biometric authentication system which can also be used to wirelessly tether compatible Samsung devices.

Pricing and release dates for the Galaxy Tab S3 have yet to be confirmed.
