Last August, HP unveiled the OMEN X Desktop, its specialized Windows 10 gaming PC, promising fierce specs, custom lighting, custom build options, "revolutionary thermal management", and a cube form factor designed to maximize cooling.
HP said that gamers would be able to fully customize their OMEN X PCs when ordering from "early 2017" through a partnership with Maingear, but a range of pre-configured OMEN X Desktops have been available from the company since last year, priced from $1,799.
However, the company is now offering a hefty $400 discount on one configuration, and if you use the coupon code OM600 during checkout, you'll get a further $200 off the total cost.
Key specs of the OMEN X Desktop 900-045VT configuration, priced at $2,999.99, include:

The discount and coupon code combine to slash $600 (20%) off that model's price. The deal is due to end on January 21.
