Google Duo will soon allow up to 32 participants in a video call

Back in March, Google announced that it will be increasing the participant limit to 12 on Duo. Along with that, Google also noted that it is working on increasing the limit further to allow more people to join video calls on Duo.

Today Google confirmed to Android Police that the company is working on increasing the limit further to 32 participants. The company has already started rolling out email promotions to Google Duo users. The email states that Duo users will be able to make "32-person calls". Google has not revealed the timeline so it is not clear when the participant limit will roll out to Duo users.

Just yesterday, Google announced a major update for Duo users that included family mode with doodle support as well as support for group calls on the web. This makes Google Duo a great competitor to Zoom, Skype and other video calling apps.
