Unboxing the 1.92-pound Dynabook Portégé X30L-G

Dynabook announced its Portégé X30L-G at CES, promising that it's the lightest 13.3-inch laptop with Intel 10th-gen processors in the world. At 1.92 pounds, it certainly delivers. And it doesn't compromise on performance either, including a full U-series processor.

As you'd expect from something this light, it's made out of magnesium alloy, although it doesn't feel as plasticky as some others with the same material do. It's also MIL-STD-810G certified, meaning that it's tough. In fact, at CES, Dynabook had one on display with 100 pounds of weight on top of it.

The company recently announced that this same PC will include Intel's Comet Lake vPro processors, although that's not what was sent to me for review. This unit includes a Core i5-10210U, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD.

Dynabook does make some interesting design choices. The PC itself is pretty, coming in a dark blue color with silver accents. It actually has the fingerprint sensor in the trackpad though, which can get in the way. Check out the unboxing video below:
