Verizon iPhone 4 now avaliable for online pre-order/reserve for new customers

As reported last week, Verizon offered existing customers a chance to pre-order the iPhone 4. Now the general public have been invited to pre-order or reserve the iPhone 4 from their website, or on the Apple store ahead of its official launch on February 10.

The Verizon iPhone will come in both 16GB and 32GB variants. The 16GB model will set you back $199.99 or $299.99 for the 32GB version on a two year contract. The Hotspot feature will cost an extra $20 per month.

We reported a short time ago some existing customers had already started to receive their iPhone 4, the 9to5mac and ifixyour team has managed to grab hold of one before the public release and has already performed a quick tear down of the new iPhone (you can catch the video below). The tear down shows a number of minor differences, one major change though has been spotted, a dual mode GSM and CDMA chipset has been found in the iPhone which supports HSPA+ up to 14.4Mb/s.

The Chronic Dev Team have also managed to get their hands on the Verizon iPhone and in a matter of hours have released a working jailbreak, which is a new beta of greenpois0n.
