Acer TravelMate P6 unboxing and first impressions

Acer's TravelMate P614-51-G2-57MS is a mouthful to say, but being a business laptop, it doesn't get one of those flashy consumer-friendly names. It's meant to be a thin and light laptop for professionals, coming in at just 2.57 pounds and 0.65 inches.

It includes Intel's 10th-generation 'Comet Lake' CPUs, and the model that Acer sent me has a Core i5-10210U, along with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Acer promises some other perks as well though, such as a 50% charge in under 45 minutes and up to 20 hours of battery life on a full charge. This laptop also offers optional 4G LTE connectivity, adding to its portability.

The TravelMate P6 is made out of magnesium alloy, although it definitely feels more premium than many others that use the same material. And it's built to be sturdy, compliant with MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-810F standards. Acer says it can stand up to accidental drops, bumps at airport security, and more.
