6.6/10 - I swear I'm not going back to cinema this year ! Enough is enough! And Denzel, wth is wrong with you, it is better for you to retire instead of playing in awful movies.

He's in the early stages of Cuba Gooding syndrome.

Oblivion (2013)

3.9/5

Really interesting original idea. Can't say the same about the script though. Still despite all its flaws (and there's many of them) Oblivion is a really interesting movie and one of the best sci fi movie i've seen in the last decade. [edit] I think the director sells the twist waaaayyyy too soon into the movie.

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

3.5/5

I really don't understand what people find so good in the new Star Trek movies to rate them so high on imdb. They are great pop corn movies like the new Star Wars but there's something preventing me from really envoying them all that much. Maybe it's all the dumb action sequences and the fact both movies feel like what would happen if Bay knew how to direct a movie ... good and fun movies but nothing more imo.

Ha, i think ill steer clear definitely then.. 1 good review to about 15 bad ones, just wont be worth it

Watched it tonight against my better judgement. I couldn't make it through the whole movie, I felt my brain cells popping and had to turn it off.

Ha decision is now final, my eyes will never view this film, banned.

I thought exactly the same for Oblivion....great idea and some stunning sparse scenes of a battle weary Earth, but the story, and the dialogue...just awful.  A real shame.

As for ST:ID, I'm getting a little weary with the mash up of original films being adding into the new ones with slight tweaks to deal with the "it's a new timeline" lore.  I do find the characters and performances good generally, and Quinto is doing a good job.  Nowhere near as good as the first of the reboot though.  The telling of the story was better in that one too.

Hopefully we get some stand alone films now the "mission" has started.

I hope so. Cause yeah overall the movies are good. Special effects are awesome. Acting is okay. Cinematography above average.

Yeah, I get and quite like the way in which they've dealt with the divergent timeline in the movies.  However it's getting old now.  They need to build on Pine's Kirk character as he's grown into it well after just two outings.

Also looks like Chekov and Sulu will get more screen time methinks.

It's a good movie. I was surprised to see Roland Emmerich can direct something remotely good.

Yeah indeed, although such movies make me think about history. What IF it is true, that shakespeare didn't write a thing himself etc...

Intouchables (2011)

4/5

Very good movie highly recommended.

Absolutely a must watch.  Its being a while since I liked a movie to give it 10/10.

Feel good but very truthful movie about unlikely friendship between black welfare collector and a disabled millionare.

I was very surpriced at how I got involved with both characters.

Today at the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase, the studio had a brand-new installment announcement featuring Senua again, but this time, she is in a version of purgatory, and the focus is on the action. Simply named Senua, this new entry is described as a "full-on action-adventure" experience, delivering an expanded focus on combat, puzzle-solving, and freedom of exploration. The developer says that it is keeping the same high production values and storytelling features of the previous games while giving what players have been asking for in the gameplay department. The entirety of Ninja Theory is now working on Senua, giving the project much more manpower than ever before, while also letting the team draw on its action roots from Devil May Cry and prior titles. However, the studio also confirmed that its previously announced Project Mara horror experience is no longer in development. Alongside snappier traversal moves, Senua will be able to take stealth and direct combat routes. She has access to her own sword, plus any enemy weapons as well, with dual wielding also being an option for most dropped melee swords, axes, and other weapons. Outside of melee combat, Senua will be able to use special abilities that let her alter the reality around her. The world is said to be about twice the size of Hellblade 2. While this won't be an open-world experience, the linear story will let players explore their surroundings further than before. The story of Senua will be set after the events of previous Hellblade titles, with our protagonist being stuck in her own version of Purgatory. The series' well-explored psychosis themes will return as well. "She’s trapped between life and death on a quest to reach the afterlife and be reunited with the ones that she’s loved and lost," adds the studio. "Her belief is that by healing the wounds of her life, she can find the peace that is the key that unlocks the gate to the afterlife." Senua is releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2027.
    • Windows has had it, it's called camera frame server. I recall when it was first introduced in an early Windows 10 release it caused issues and there was a registry entry to disable it. Seems like they disabled it by default at some point. Windows 11 brought that toggle to the settings app (not just registry) a while ago.
    • You didn't like Mafia The Definite Edition? As a fan of the first when it came out, I liked that remake.
