do you mean im crashing the server?

Yeah, but seeing you aren't, well..

Edit: seems to get better now. was able to find my buried treasure now 😛

Hmm, it looks like in the server crashes I've lost my pets. Not a big issues as it was only a parrot and a wolf, but if it's widespread others may have lost a lot more.

Also just checked, and my fishes and axolotl in the tree farm at spawn are all fine, so maybe not that widespread.

I noticed the world has grown to over 2gb, seems like @Matthew S. server may just be struggling to keep up with the world size a bit. I've noticed more and more 'server is x ticks behind' messages on the console recently. maybe the terralith world generation datapack is just a bit too much for the server to handle or something. Love the cave systems it makes though so would be a shame to regenerate the world without it IMO.

Seems strange, prior to running the neowin server on this node I was running two massive worlds (around 30GB each, there not on the server anymore, this is dedicated to neowin now)

  • 2 weeks later...

Server has been converted to PaperMC, everything should have remained intact, I'm taking a backup of the test server and going to start loading plugins today.

In addition to the Datapacks we were already running we are running the following plugins, note not all the permissions are active yet.

Quote
  • Dynmap
    • Dynmap-Essentials
    • Dynmap-Mobs
    • Dynmap-WorldGuard
  • EssentialsX
    • EssentialsXChat
    • EssentialsXSpawn
  • LuckPerms
  • LWCX
  • WorldEdit
  • WorldGuard
  • WorldGuardGUI
  • Vault

Looks like PaperMC has helped with the stability issues, not seeing the ticks behind spam that we were on pure vanilla.

That said, I think we should plan for a get together on the server either sometime this week or next weekend.

What do you say guys/gals?

@Matthew S.

Let you know that hoppers are not feeding into things like furnaces and chests and vice versa may have something to do with the ownage rights to whatever you put down if you know what i mean!

like I used to put uncooked food in top chest it would go through hopper into furnace then through hopper to chest but just doesn't do nothing items just sit in the chests, can you have a look at it when you have time think its something to do with locked chests or locked furnaces etc

Thanks

Nice start to your base too :)

Also, I think Chickens don't move anymore.

that was due to the nomoblag, some of the mobs from before that froze -.-

might be due to lwc. thinking of removing it as it doesn't seem to want to work right anyways

@Slugsie amd I were testing it, anything that was built before LWC was added worked, anything after broke.  I've removed LWC for now, you may need to rebuild anything thats not droptransfering.

Fixed, I slaughters your frozen chickens and spawned in fresh ones, there was exactly 1 moving around

I've also noticed there are no end rods in the end i haven't seen one, seen about 4 end city's and there haven't been any on them which is strange, something is defo wrong with the end

So I'm getting my head around WorldEdit, and mostly got a handle on the basics.

I've installed WorldEdit as a Fabric mod on my local MC so I can play on my local worlds. I've imported some .schematic files and I can place them in locals worlds just fine. But they don't seem to be available on online worlds. Similarly creations I copy and save online aren't available on local worlds. I'm guessing that online they're saved to the server, and it doesn't use the local folder at all? Is it possible to easily get a locally saved .schematic file available to an online world? I'd like to create stuff offline and then import it to the server, is that possible?

    • Dude get a clue, LTSC is Enterprise, not even legal for consumers, and ESU is not mainstream support cycle, just an extended security updates period.
    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.
