ABIT KT7A v1,3 BIOS supports AMD XP CPU's

Julio of 3DSpotlight Sends us word that they just got official word from Abit's UK offices that current KT7A rev 1.3 and KG7 motherboard will work with the XP processors but will need a BIOS update. Without BIOS upgrade, the boards may be able to boot up and run, but the SSE function will not activate. Also if the system is upgrading from T'Bird Athlon to XP Athlon, you are requested to re-install Windows. Otherwise, the SSE function will not work.

Older boards such as KT7A rev 1.2 won't work at all due to "hardware limitation".

The news has since been updated with a downloadable BIOS for the KT7A rev 1.3 motherboard, as usual if you feel you need to flash your motherboard (or passer-by's on the street for that matter) please do not hold us responsible if your computer breaches its warp core, or an old lady kicks you in the nuts.
