Dell introduces its new XPS 13 2-in-1 and the 27 Ultrathin Monitor

CES doesn't kick off until the 5th, but as you might expect, many companies are announcing products and holding events already. After the device showed up on the company's website yesterday, Dell has announced the XPS 13 2-in-1, along with a new 27 Ultrathin Monitor.

The firm says that the new XPS 13 will be the "world’s smallest 13-inch 2-in-1 with battery life up to 15 hours". Other than that, the hybrid device isn't all that different from the refresh that arrived back in October, which added Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake processors, and includes options for a QHD+ (3200x1800) Infinity Edge display, 1TB of storage, and 16GB of RAM.

The new XPS 13 2-in-1 will be available on Thursday, January 5 from Dell.com and Best Buy starting at $999 in the United States.

The new Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor promises "inspired, state-of-the-art design with the world’s overall thinnest profile, articulated hinge design, and fluid tilt and swivel, offering an unhampered view from nearly any angle". Dell says that it offers "exceptionally rich colors with high contrast", and more depth and range due to the company's high dynamic range (HDR) technology.

The resolution of the display is 1440p, and it will be available on March 23 for $699.99 in the United States, with worldwide availability coming soon after.
