Fortnite iOS now open to the public, certain device restrictions apply

Fortnite has become quite popular amongst gamers and while its beta has been available for iOS for close to a month, the game is now being made available to all - without an invitation.

Although it is exclusive to iOS, for now, the game does have some restrictions. Currently, the title is only compatible with the iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8, and iPhone X. The game can also be played on the iPad Mini 4, Air 2, iPad 2017, and Pro models. The aforementioned models also need to be updated to iOS 11.

If unfamiliar with Fortnite, it is a sandbox survival game that offers co-op play and has a different twist by allowing players to build structures that will aid them during gameplay. The game can be downloaded from the iOS App Store. If you are experiencing any issues with the game, be sure to check the status page for details.

Those that are anxious to play on Android will still have to wait a while. Epic Games did announce a version for Android, but nothing has materialized so far. However, when it arrives, cross-play with iOS will be available.
