It's not quite October just yet but as is usually the case, Microsoft has pushed out the first wave of its Games with Gold titles for Xbox Live Gold subscribers to grab for free. Just as the company announced a few days ago, the games are Tembo the Badass Elephant - a platformer coming from the Pokemon game maker Game Freak - for the Xbox One, and the Disney movie game Bolt for the Xbox 360.
The latter canine action game is also available to claim for Xbox One owners as usual, thanks to it also being on the backward compatibility program, letting the more modern console play it natively.
Use the store links listed below using a Gold activated account to grab the games:
Tembo the Badass Elephant (Xbox One)
Shell City is plunged into a state of emergency after coming under attack from the devastating forces of PHANTOM. As the National Army struggle to contain the terrifying war machines, they call upon the only thing that stands between Shell City’s obliteration and its salvation; the peanut chompin’, villain stompin’, TEMBO THE BADASS ELEPHANT!
Bolt (Xbox 360 and Xbox One)
Join Penny and her super dog, Bolt, as they travel the globe on a dangerous mission to save Penny's dad from the evil Dr. Calico.
Xbox Live Gold subscribers on the Xbox One who are yet to grab the freebie from the previous promotion still have time left, with the cooperative puzzler We Were Here available until October 15. It is slated to be replaced by Friday the 13th: The Game on that date.
Remember that Xbox One titles claimed through a Games with Gold promotion are only accessible whenever the player's account has an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. Claimed Xbox 360 games, on the other hand, will remain playable even if the subscription runs out.
