Registration for Microsoft's Build 2019 developer conference is now open

As Microsoft promised when it announced the dates earlier this month, registration for its Build 2019 developer conference is now open. The event will be held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, as it has been for the past two years.

The price for registration is $2,395, and that does not include a hotel stay. If you register, Microsoft will offer discounted rates for nearby hotels.

Build is the firm's premier developer event, where Microsoft will show what's coming next for its products. The big focus will likely be the intelligent cloud and intelligent edge, with Azure at the top of the lineup. The company will also have sessions on Microsoft 365, with a big focus on Office.

It's also possible that the rumored Windows Lite will be announced. The new version of the OS reportedly won't be called Windows in its final form, and it's designed to shed some of the legacy components of Windows for a better experience.
