The Witcher 2 coming to Xbox 360

CD Projekt, the creators of The Witcher PC fantasy RPG series, have officially confirmed that its PC fantasy RPG The Witcher 2, will be heading to the Xbox 360 console from Microsoft. The game is due out for the console by the end of 2011. The development team claims that the Xbox 360 version won't be a simple port but will be developed with the console in mind. The Xbox 360 console version will be shown at CD Projekt's booth at E3 2011 next week. A teaser trailer shown during the steaming press conference stated that Atari would be the publisher for the Xbox 360 version.

The PC version of The Witcher 2, released on May 17, has already sold over 400,000 units in its first week of sales, according to CD Projekt's press conference. A new 1.2 patch for the game is due to be released on Friday and will have a number of improvements for the game. That's includs fixing some game balance issues in the game's prolog, adding key bindings to any key, and more.

Also coming is a new DLC pack for the game called Barbers and Coiffeuses. The DLC will allow the player to pay money to barbers to change hairstyle. There will be five new hairstyles for players to choose from in the DLC pack. Finally from now until the end of E3 on June 9, the PC version of The Witcher 2 will be on sale for $10 off via Amazon.com, Steam and Gamestop.
