Amazon is bringing its Alexa digital assistant to iOS devices, which you can find right in its main Amazon app. Oddly, the feature is still unavailable where you might expect to find it - and where you'd control all of its settings - the Alexa app.
In the image above, you can see a microphone icon in the top-right corner of the app, which you can use to launch the digital assistant. Once you do, you can do pretty much anything that you can do with an Echo, Echo Dot, Tap, Fire TV, Fire HD 8, or any other Alexa-enabled device.
As mentioned above, you're going to want to install the Alexa app as well. This will allow you to add Skills, sign into services that you use (such as to play music), and configure Alexa to your liking.
This isn't the first time that we're seeing Alexa show up in non-Amazon devices. At CES, Lenovo launched its Smart Assistant, which is similar to the Echo, and Ford will be including it in select 2017 vehicles.
Alexa will begin rolling out to iOS devices today, and should be available to everyone in the US be next week. If you don't have it already, you can download the Amazon app from the App Store here.
