Amazon.com, Inc today announced that it has completed it's aquisition of AbeBooks. AbeBooks, for those that have never heard of it, is more or less eBay meets Amazon Marketplace. It's a place where sellers around the world can list used, rare and out-of-print books.
An agreement for the aquisition was first reached on August 1st 2008.
Abebooks will still continue as a stand-alone operation, and is based out of Victoria, British Columbia (Canada). All country specific information will remain, and AbeBooks will continue to maintain their website.
