Andy sent me an email with a special something that is being auctioned on eBay, The ring was used as the basis for all rings which were used in the movie "The Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring". It is no copy or merchandising-product, but the original ring "Nr. 1". Here are the facts of the ring:
The german radio-station hr3 got this ring from his creator, the german Goldsmith Oliver Nöll, to sell it by auction. The revenue of this auction will be donated to help children with cancer in Hessen, Germany. (which is also the reason I decided to post this - ED) Neither the radio-station hr3 nor eBay will financially profit from this auction.
If possible, the Winner of this auction will be called live on air at hr3 Radio station Friday, the 21st of december to talk to him in one of the shows during the day.
